E's hair is getting a bit long now and I want to clip her fringe back to keep it out of her eyes.....
I've seen little, teeny hair clips but aren't they a choking hazard? What kind of hair clips do you have for your LO? What's the way forward for me here?!

I take out hair accessories for naps and all other times she's with me. She doesn't take them out often.

I don't send her to daycare with them in because yes, they are a choking hazard. They would also lose them I'm sure. She only wears them when I'm around and I take them out when she naps.

Take out for naps and in the car. She will rip them out in the car and has once or twice tried to put them in her mouth. Luckily we saw and took it from her.

@Cherrybee: I just brush it to the side and hope that it stays that way! It's sometimes in her face when I pick her up, though.

Carter's sells some that are pinch clips that stay in well and are kind of big for swallowing.

@mamimami: No, you're quite right, there's nothing wrong with a whale spout it's just one of those things I said I'd never do and now I'm a parent I suddenly understand WHY mums have been doing it all these years!!

@Cherrybee: I have no ideas about clips, but just wanted to say you're right, bangs is a really weird thing to call them! Fringe is more descriptive, haha

@Cherrybee: lol! Seriously. I still don't love the side pony spout K is always sporting. But she can't stand to have anything in her eyes (always rubbing) and I think it would be worse having to trim them every 2 weeks. I use tiny plastic Goody elastics usually because her hair gets so front-heavy. And then clip in a bow or clip - that gets removed for naps and bedtime. I guess if I were worried, I'd take them out on car rides too, but she never really fusses with them if I've tied the hair up.
The bending snap clips and plastic clips also work well for small wispy hairs.
