I've been searching some mommy and me classes for my LO and I to attend this fall and came across a few local yoga studios that offer baby yoga. Have you attended a baby yoga class with your LO and if so, would you recommend it?

My library offers it but its for 3 and up.... which doesn't make sense because 3 year Ole's are toddlers, not babies! Sounds fun though.

Haven't been, but I definitely plan on going once LO is here. The studios around here usually have prenatal yoga and then a mommy/baby yoga class for after the baby is born.

I used to do a "mommy and me" yoga class with DD and our nanny. Our nanny was super into yoga (actually had a certification to teach) and knew the instructor well, so she would take DD twice a week, and I'd meet up for one of the classes, too. DD was between 4-7 months, I think.
It was fun. The poses in our class were very easy, and the instructor used an upbeat tempo. It's not the "quiet meditation" type of yoga class; we did a lot of animal poses/sounds, movement, and using tools like balls, blocks, etc... We really enjoyed it. Now that DD is older (she's 2), I have a toddler yoga dvd we sometimes put on and do yoga together. She's really good at it!

I did an Itsy Bitsy Yoga class with my LO when she was around three months and I loved it. I had to put aside my dignity and sing and be goofy in front of strangers, but it was really fun!
I think my LO mostly liked being around the other babies, but it's supposed to give you some tools to help with fussiness, colic, etc.

We do it and it's really fun! It's taught by the same woman who did our prenatal yoga which is cool since she's known us all along. LIke @Honeybee said, it is more active and fun than your usual yoga. We sing songs and do stuff for breathing and digestion. I look forward to when Linus is older and we can do more poses.
