What area are you going to be in? There's a destination maternity/pea in the pod on 5th avenue and 57th Street I think. There's also a bunch of baby clothing stores on the east and west sides (I love baby cz stuff and le petit bateau, although they're both expensive). Giggle is a cute store with strollers, cribs, blankets, etc. And of course, you can always go to one of the dept stores (bloomies, macys) and check out their baby sections.

what exactly are you looking for? more maternity clothes or baby gear? which neighborhoods do you prefer?
off the top of my head, some places you can check out are: belly dance maternity and destination maternity for maternity clothes, giggle or buy buy baby for baby gear, yummy mummy or the upper breast side for all things nursing/breastfeeding, and metro mini's for babywearing.

Thanks for the replies! We are staying with my BIL in Brooklyn but will be around Manhattan as well, I of course am not really good with the different areas but my BIL is a great host and is willing to go pretty much wherever I think. I'm at 27 weeks and looking for maybe some newborn clothes etc and maybe a few maternity dresses for all my dental school graduation events coming up.
