For those of you that had belly button piercings, and took them out, and are pregnant... How is the skin/hole stretching out? I took mine out over 7 years ago, but it never closed up. I was just looking at my belly (just bloat at this pt) but its already stretched out a bit. How was your experience w this?

Mine is stretched out into a thin line... it's very odd! The space between the hole and my belly button has also grown and stretched. I am so curious to see what it looks like after LO arrives... I'm thinking it's not going to be a good look for me, haha.

I have had mine out like 10 years and it stretched some but nothing back.

Mine stretched a ton. Like it was probably a centimeter across. 3 weeks post partum it's still a little stretched but I put the ring back in and it looks fine/ok. My piercing is about 10 years old so it didnt close up.

Horror stories about this was what convinced me not to get it pierced in high school! From what I understand now it isn't nearly as bad as I was told, but my mom is glad I got scared

@LazyLightning: did you find it painful as your belly grew? I have this horrible idea in my head thats its going to stretch so much its going to tear!

It stretched during pregnancy but didn't look too bad...but after I delivered and the skin was loose, it looked awful! At 8 months pp it's finally looking somewhat normal. I haven't had a ring in it for several years though.

@citymouse: actually no! It looked like it would hurt but it didnt. It also looked like it would rip! I did moisturize the area and it helped me feel better about it

My belly button stretched to completely flat. Pp my stomach returned to the same and my piercing hole looks the same as it did before I got pregnant.

It is all stretched out after my second baby.

I didn't really notice it being stretched during pregnancy (my belly button didn't pop either) and it looks the same now as it did before I was pregnant. Just a little hole.

Only spot I got a stretch mark was between the two holes. I rarely wear a ring for years now and the hole never closes. The bottom hole came out (where it was tucked inside the hole before. 15 weeks pp and it's slowly getting back under.

Okay this is calming my fears. Thank you ladies! I was suddenly horrified that my skin was going to rip open as my belly grows! Good to know it will go back to normal.
