And this is why I did my best to hide my belly until about 7 months when I couldn't hide it any more. People are just too annoying with their comments so I just didn't want them to know that I was pregnant.

It is really annoying to hear how big you are day in and day out. I know how big I am – I’m carrying the belly around 24/7, I know it’s there. I hate comments like “will you even go to your due date?”, “you look ready to deliver already!”, or “how can you get any bigger?!”. I have a short torso and a small frame, I can’t help how big I look, but I’m not abnormally huge and measure exactly on target for LO’s “age”. Bah.

I definitely agree with just telling people they look great. I gained the appropriate amount of weight during pregnancy and am short but I have a long torso and never looked very big. I got a lot of questions after people finding out how far along I was like "Is the baby growing okay?" (Which he was!) "Are you eating enough?" You would think that it would be great to hear that you aren't very big, but that got old too.

I haven't been told that yet, but I definitely understand all of the feelings that go along with your size. One day, I feel very small (I'm 21 weeks), and the next day, I'm feeling huge. I feel like everyone is constantly judging as to how big you look, and how much bigger you are going to get.

My husband told me the other day that I am going to get huge, because I'm short, have a very short torso, and I am carrying him out front. I laughed and said that I knew I was going to get huge, but once I was huge that he should refrain from telling me so.

I also plan on joking back with any of my friends who say "You're huge!" that it is never a compliment to tell a woman- in any stage of her life- that she is huge. With a laugh of course! I hope that will get the point across!!

I'm the same way. Since 30 weeks or so people have been treating me like I'm about to pop... and back then I still had a whole lot more growing to do! I have a long torso, but my baby bump sits pretty low and sticks straight out, so I look huge. Also, I was small to begin with, so my belly looks ginormous, even though I'm in the totally normal range for weight gain.
I just try to laugh it off and say, "yeah, I feel like a whale". Ugh.

People used to tell me how big I was or how I had to be having twins blah blah, all.the.time. It made me so mad! It's hard to watch you body change so dramatically, and it doesn't help when people make you feel even more uncomfortable about your body. I think they are just trying to make conversation, but still. It's rude. If it makes you feel any better, now people constantly tell me how small I am, and how well I'm carrying. I guess I just popped way early so I seemed huge for as far as I was. People just need to learn how to properly comment on a pregnant woman's body. If you aren't going to tell me I look good, then keep your mouth shut!

Ugh. It's annoying. Everyone thought I was having twins.
I have no idea how many times I said "No. I just got really fat."

I was all belly and boobs. I mean all belly, straight out. From behind I didn't look pregnant. From front on I looked really small. People would ask when I was due, I'd say 3 weeks, they'd say no way! So I'd turn side on and it was like " omg, you ARE due soon!". Yeah, I know.

@pastemoo: people can be so oblivious sometimes! Like I hadn't noticed how huuuuuge I was! And then were shocked that LO was 8lb 8.

@cupcakemama: 8lb 8 oz? wow! I'm worried mine will be huge too based on my weight gain. We'll see in a couple months or so.

If didn't really show until 24 weeks and even now people are shocked when I tell them I'm due the 1st- yes, as in I could have my baby any day now. I got a lot of flack for not being big enough and that feels just as bad, especially when people can be so accusatory in their tones.
