I had a vaginal ultrasound yesterday. Everything looked great and we saw the heart beating at 120bpm. I'm 6w5d. This morning I went to the bathroom and I'm spotting. It's brownish so far and I only noticed when I wiped but I can't help but worry. Did anyone else experience this?

If it's brown, it could be leftover from your previous period. Are you cramping at all? Either way, if you're worried, definitely call and ask about it!!

Hm, I never did, but spotting in early pregnancy is common - however, my doctor always told me to call if I have any sort of spotting or bleeding. I would just call so they can note your file. Since you JUST had your ultrasound, I'm sure everything is fine!

@mediagirl: I had some light cramping but that is something I've experienced multiple times since I found out I'm pregnant.

i didn't bleed right after an ultrasound, but i did bleed sometime later (turned out to be nothing)..... like PPs stated above, i'd just mention to doctor so he/she could allay your fears

I had a vaginal u/s in the beginning, and my Dr. told me if I had spotting not to be concerned since the cervix is so sensitive in pregnancy. He said as long as it's not bright red, or heavy not to be concerned. I had some pretty intense spotting after a pap later in the pregnancy, and I was really scared, but it turned out to be normal.

Yay for hearing the heartbeat and having a healthy baby! I didn't bleed, but the doctor did warn me that it might happen and its normal. But I feel like if you're worried it's always good to call the doctor. Sometimes you just feel better hearing it from a nurse.

I experienced this. I had my first ultrasound when I was 7w6d and that night I had brown spotting.
