We don't have any type of tv network, just an antenna for local channels. I remember being able to watch the summer '12 olympics on one of the local channels, but I can't find whatever channel it's supposed to be on. Anyone else know?

I think most of it is on NBC. I know that's where I'm watching/recording the opening ceremonies.

I think it's on NBC...but if you're not finding it that may be because it technically hasn't started yet?

The Olympics are shown on the basic broadcast networks. You should be fine as long as you have NBC.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: that's what I don't know, I'm not sure if we have NBC? I guess I thought we did since we watched it two years ago without any problems.
@spaniellove: what time does it start? I thought I had heard opening ceremonies were this morning -

@Mrs. Pen: Coverage is broadcast on NBC, just not full coverage. It usually starts in the afternoon or during prime time. The opening ceremony is live at noon today, but I don't think it's being broadcast until 7:30 or 8 EST on NBC tonight!!

If you get local channels, you should have local NBC. It might be listed by the call numbers in your area. If you google NBC along with your town, you should be able to see what the call letters are (they should start with a k if you're in the western part of the US or a w in the eastern part). Hope that helps!

The primetime broadcasts will all be on NBC! They're just not airing the live stuff, which is what you can find on the cable affiliates. BUT, you can find them online!
