When do kids seem to stop getting colds? LO (4 yo) is "sick" again. She's got a cough and runny/stuffy nose. It doesn't slow her down but her all night coughing makes me want to lose my mind. Please tell me this is our "last" year!
She takes Claritin daily for allergies. She's not been tested but our air quality in North Texas isn't stellar and her pediatrician recommended it. It seems to help some, but she still has more colds than I like.

If they are in school, they'll get colds. I'm a teacher and I still get colds every cold season. I don't think its a matter of outgrowing it. It's just exposure,

It helped when we started taking Vitamin D. But I agree that you don't ever outgrow it.

Okay maybe I should have asked when it slows down? I could live with 1-2 colds per season that last about a week.

I have found that it slowed down dramatically when they stopped putting things in their mouths! But now, the classes are getting bigger, there are fewer adults around and kids are notoriously bad at keeping their hands clean after they touch their noses. So, we are back in the swing of a cold at the beginning of the school year.
I don't expect it to ever go away, lol.
