Yay or nay?
I know that raw cookie dough is a no no but what about the ice cream? It's so good and I want some!

I was told it is ok. Different dough then regular cookie dough.

I asked my mom this question while I was pregnant, cuz she's a food safety chemist. As pps have said, it is absolutely safe. They wouldn't be able to sell it at all if it had raw eggs in it.

I guess I feel silly for not thinking about the fact that they couldn't sell ice cream with raw eggs in it.

Yep it's fine! I also found a pregnant-lady recipe for cookie dough- it is meant to be eaten raw, and is totally safe!

Considering I just ate several spoonfuls of regular raw cookie dough, I definitely vote "Yay!"
