We happen to have a photo shoot scheduled in two weeks and I will be 13 weeks along. So it is just in time to announce a little more publicly. I was thinking of making a chalkboard sign for in a picture but not sure what cute way to say it other than "Coming in January..."
ETA: More info: It will be a new years baby so maybe something with that and this will be baby #2. My DS is a little over 2.

I like the 4th of July idea! Since this will make you a family of 4, draw an arrow at your belly with the words, "Happy FOURTH!"

@travellingbee: you could always ask the photog for a preview pic that you could use. Our photog will usually send me 2-3 if I need something specific.

DD had two blackboards for her photos that we used to announce.
One said, "I'm being promoted to big sister" and the other said "Pink or Blue? Either will do, Mommy's expecting number two."

Thanks for all the ideas-- I'll talk to DH and see what he thinks. Also, there is a chance we will know the gender by then (blood test is on Tuesday), so we may want to wait to decide what to say until we know the gender...

When are you due in January? My original EDD was 12/1 and I knew I'd have a RCS, and suspected my OB would do it early, so I avoided anything referencing a month. Just a thought. If you are real early January, you may end up with a December babe.
