With my first, my mom posted a comment on something that made reference to me being pregnant. We caught it and had her take it down.
Also, when my first was born, my BIL announced the birth on FB before me or my hubby had a chance to. We were a little irked by that.

Yeah. I live in a different state from the rest of my family and my hometown community is pretty small. My SIL basically told all my close friends before I had a chance to, so that sucked.

Yes my in laws emailed their entire circle despite being told that it was early and I was spotting and nervous about it. They are not on social media, but someone they emailed made a comment on facebook. My DH was furious with his dad.

My mom shared it with her BF and he asked me about it the very first time he met my brother and I. Thank goodness my brother was in the bathroom because I had not shared it with him yet. I was peeved at them both.

With our first, my MIL told a ton of people when I was still early enough that I didn't want anyone (but immediate family) to know. Then when we had a little gender reveal (again, with just immediate family), and she posted it on facebook once we found out. Wasn't happy about that.
We didn't tell her I was pregnant this time until I was 13 weeks . This way, if she told the world again, I was in a more comfortable place for people to know

With our first pregnancy, mil's best friend told the father of one of dh's best friends from high school who told the friend, before we had announced/told his friend. It was super obnoxious because it was so not her business to tell! It was like a game of telephone trying to figure out how his friend knew. Luckily his friend called dh to ask directly before it got spread around more! I don't remember exactly how early it was, but we had been waiting to tell most people until after I told my brother in person at 14 weeks--I don't live in the same town and wanted to tell him in person rather than over the phone.

My dad and MIL told people with both of our pregnancies ... One of our neighbors (an old man) told another one of our neighbors before I had a chance to. I don't care that people found out, it's more that it's so selfish to spoil the news - I wish I was able to tell my friends and family our own news.

I asked my mom not to tell anybody and she immediately told my aunts, uncles, and brother. When I called her on it she said "I thought you said I just couldn't post it on Facebook!"

Not in a big way but we were waiting to tell my husband'sbrorger until we made a bigger announcement because he has been known to spill the beans on various things. I emailed my ILs some ultrasound photos and MIL forwarded them to BIL because she thought I "accidentally forgot him" without checking first. I hate hate hate it when people forward things without permission.

Yes, my best friend told her mom...then her mom told her friend who happens to my sister's MIL. So my sister's MIL said something to my BIL and he knew before my sister did. He kept making comments to me when we were watching the super bowl, I knew he knew. I didn't talk to my BFF for days I was so mad and didn't tell her for several weeks with #2.
