I don't think anyone dared to tell me to my face that I would go late, I would have murdered them after the 37 week point! Family members made their guesses, nope they weren't right- I went exactly a week early, and they were only guessing 2-3 days early.

My mom kept insisting that first babies, especially girls are always born late. Both my sister and I were 10 days late so I think she based it on that. My daughter ended up being 9 days early!

Early! They said there was just by enough room for her. My section was scheduled a week early from her due date and then she ended up coming a week earlier than that!

A lot of people, including both of our moms, guessed early, but for literally no reason. I always thought she'd be on the late side... also for no reason but I think I have more data on my side as a first time mom! EDD is Tuesday so time is running out for her to be an early bird

Yes! One sweet lady in particular at work told me that my baby would arrive a day or 2 before my due date. She predicted that when I was like 14 wks. My pedicure lady also told me the same thing. I had her a day before my due date. It was funny cause I thought I was going to be super late!

I find that to be so unhelpful. People have always said that about me because I make big babies, and then when the fake due date comes and goes, and then the real due date comes and goes, I just got so frustrated.

Yes. Everyone started saying "any day now" at 34 weeks! I was huge and also measured ahead my entire pregnancy, and went in to labor at 41+4, so no, they were very wrong!!!

Yes, and maybe it's just me but I was so freaking annoyed by it! Maybe it's just because it was less of a guess and more of an insistence, but my DH's family was convinced I'd go early. My SIL went 3 weeks early and since my MIL doesn't understand biology and that SIL's labor has nothing to do with mine, she kept insisting I'd weeks go early too, maybe even earlier than my SIL. So, you want me to have a preemie baby...thanks MIL.

And then you have the more realistic people who said first babies are usually late, but we'll see. When I got worked up about DH's family insisting I'd be way early, my mom would always say she bets LO will prove both the early and late people wrong and come right on time. And she was exactly right - I went into labor at 6AM on my due date and had my LO the next day.

Everyone thought I'd go early because the doctors thought I would...I was induced at 41 weeks! I figured I would go late because I was two weeks late.
