I don't think I ever mentioned that it was a girl on facebook... I kept most baby stuff off there!

I didn't mention that I was pregnant on facebook until we found out the gender ("baby girl mylastname coming October 2012!" - although she ended up being September )

I did. That was one of a few posts I made about her until she was born. I was just so excited because I wanted a girl so bad!

Yep. Next time I'm pregnant, I'm keeping most things off of facebook...including a pregnancy announcement...until a baby is born.

We are team green, so no. But I haven't posted much about my pregnancy on FB anyway, so if we find out the sex next time I probably still won't post it. Real friends would know if we do, but rando FB "friends" can find out when baby is born.

We didn't formally announce it. But I think it was mentioned here and there.

We found out, but didn't announce on Facebook. We told people who asked, but didn't do a formal announcement.
nectarine / 2163 posts
we did a small announcement (just posted a screen shot of the 20 week u/s). when people asked what we were having we told them. no big formal announcement other than that.

We did a late gender reveal at our showers and I did some "it's a girl" pictures during my maternity pics, so after our shower I posted one of the "it's a girl" maternity session photos.

We were team green. We probably would have done a gender reveal party if we had decided to find out and then let our FB friends know also.

We're team green, but all of my friends that have had babies/are having babies recently announced in one way or another the sex of facebook.
watermelon / 14467 posts
We did, but I think I've only posted about the pregnancy 4 times. I try to keep it off FB.
pomegranate / 3604 posts
I did. I noticed all my friends who had boys were quick to like & comment.

I announced with a simple status. apparently a ton of people missed it - or didn't get that I was announcing what she was - because people were all, "you're having a girl?!" when they saw shower pictures!
I posted, "sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what girls are made of "

Someone else did! It wasn't even a close friend but it was someone my husband saw out and told and then she posted it on my wall. It didn't really bother me but it was kind of strange.

We were going to because DH was so excited we were having a girl, but we didnt. We told everyone in person.

I never mentioned anything about my pregnancy on Facebook. Soon after LO was born I deactivated my account.
nectarine / 2771 posts
Nope, I kept my pregnancy away from FB as much as I could. I was way too paranoid about something bad happening and then having to announce that. We happily told people in person though, if they asked!

Technically, yes. We didn't announce "we're having a girl" or anything. I actually didn't talk much about my pregnancy on FB. I think a casually made a status one day about my pregnancy and happened to mention "our little girl".

We were tagged in a pic of the tiny gender reveal we did with my parents - we gave them a Christmas tree ornament that said 'Its a Boy!' as a surprise. So it was mentioned but not necessarily revealed.

@yin: literally, same! I never said anything or posted recent pics of me pregnant or anything. 1. I was too busy 2. I didn't want anyone's interference, evil eye, advice, suggestions, nosy questions. A few weeks before my EDD, I deactivated. Good thing because I went overdue and I would've hated people to keep commenting on "when" on FB.

We did. That's how we keep up with alot of our family and friends and we were too excited not to.
pineapple / 12526 posts
Yep, we did, complete with u/s picture. It was mostly for our friends and family in the states.
grapefruit / 4823 posts
we announced the gender of #2 when we announced we were pregnant(~20 weeks) with #1 we also announced the gender, but had already announced we were pregnant before that. my husband was/is too excited, he needs to share all news! haha

We are TG and everyone is dying to know (me included!) so I'm sure DH will post something after baby is here!
