I had major rib issues during pregnancy, so I had to stop wearing underwire at 24 weeks. I just bought nursing bras in my new size and wore them from 24 weeks until I stopped pumping at 12 months pp. I would not recommend buying new regular bras since you are going to need nursing bras anyway. FWIW, I have two sets of nursing bras - ones that fit really well during pregnancy and the first few months postpartum, and some (in a smaller size) that fit better once my milk supply was established and I stopped being engorged between feedings.

I was able to wear my bra but had to get new nursing bras after giving birth to my first. I wore nursing bra and just wireless bras for a very long time. And now I can't go back to wired.

I bought new bras less than 2 months in. My ribs just expanded like crazy about 12 seconds after my BFP. I remember at around 6 weeks sitting at dinner, when no one knew I was pregnant, and feeling like I had a rubberband tight around my ribs. I had to unhook my bra halfway through!

So yeah, I bought two cheap ones early on, another cheap one half way through, then I gave up and wore stretchy pullover ones until the end. If I did it all over again I'd buy one or two halfway decent, though not super expensive, nursing bras around 6 months, since I didn't realize how adjustable they are.

Sucked because I always wanted bigger boobs, then when I finally had them they looked like crap in cheap unsupportive bras because everything else hurt too much.

I'm 26 weeks now and I've been wearing nursing bras since 20 weeks. My boobs could no longer be contained in my regular bras. I actually got a mix of underwire with the snap to nurse and comfy nursing stretchy bras with no underwire. Such a relief!

i bought wireless nursing bras at only 14 weeks because bbs grew so so fast and was already a dd pre-pregnancy. will most likely need to go larger by the end tho.. glad i got them on sale at destination maternity!

I bought sports-bra-type nursing bras at about 30 weeks, and started wearing them almost exclusively then. I did have to buy another size up when my milk came in, so I'm glad I didn't spend a ton on pregnancy bras.

Yes, very early on. I had to go up a size and do away with the underwire. I am on the verge of needing to size up again but I'm trying to hold off as long as possible (even though I'm only 26 weeks!).

Yep. at 11 weeks I bought 2 new bras because I grew 2 cup sizes and my old bras were killing me.

I bought new regular bras. I wore pretty, lacy bras the whole time. haha. Theres just something about wearing nice, pretty undies that puts a little spring in your step.

I lived in sports bras throughout the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. I also labored with a sports bra and usually nurse with a sports bra. I just find them way more comfortable. And I was able to find a couple that clip in the front so it's easy to get the girls in and out.
