I used a simple band for the last few weeks until my rings fit again.

My first pregnancy I got stand-in rings and was back in my weddingrrings at 8 weeks postpartum. My second pregnancy I didn't swell and was able to wear my wedding rings the whole time.

@ineebee: I got my set at the TJMaxx Fresh Pond/Cambridge. It was sterling silver and good enough quality that I handed it down to my best friend when she swelled during her pregnancy.
I think it was $30.

For DD1 I had to take my rings off early around 25-30ish weeks because she was due end of August and I instantly started to swell as soon as it got warm. I bought a ring that looks similar to my ring. With DD2 (winter baby) I took off my engagement ring at 37 weeks and plan to just take my wedding ring off when I head to the hospital. I've been lucky and haven't had any swelling in the cold weather! So needless to say no need for the fake ring this time.

I already had a fake set of rings from when my engagement and wedding rings were getting sized, but that's what I wore when I couldn't wear my regular rings anymore, as they were slightly bigger than my actual rings. I bought them from Nordstrom (I think their fashion jewelry section) and they look just like my actual rings, so they were perfect to wear at the end. Nordstrom always has a collection of them and I think they run about $35 each. I'd definitely recommend them if you want to continue wearing rings.

I wore several cheapie stand-ins last time around. I think I took my rings off around 20 weeks and wasn't able to put them on again until 2-3 months post-partum. I kept buying cheapies from Walmart, Kohls, and Target... they looked great for a few days, but the silver would wear off (even from the sterling silver plated ones). I need a stand in once more...I am going to look on etsy for a pure sterling ring, maybe with my first daughter's birthstone that could be stacked with a second one and worn on my right hand.

No, I just didn't wear mine for a while and then hit up some singles bars.

I hardly wear my rings to begin with so didn't really wear them during pregnancy either. after baby was born I would get them caught on her clothes/scratched her and all the hand washing made it annoying to wear rings.

Yes at about 30 weeks I finally had to give it up. I bought an $8 ring from walmart that looked similar to my engagement ring! Unfortunately I gained too much weight and at 11 months PP I still can't wear my real rings. It makes me sad because I LOVE my rings. I don't wear my cheap one anymore. It turned my finger green after a while.

I started swelling a bit at around 35 weeks and switched to wearing my grandmother's engagement ring, which fit perfectly (about a size and a half larger than my wedding set). At three months pp I'm still wearing it, even though I can sort of fit back into my wedding set, because it is an art deco style and the diamond is set flat while my rings are set very high. I'm nervous about scratching the Baby!

I changed my mind and ordered a sterling silver bridal set from Overstock last night. It was $20 shipped. Hopefully it works!

My rings still fit @ 28 weeks and hoping to keep it going but if my fingers did swell I would get one. I already look wayyy younger than I am, I don't want to get any "poor single teen mom" looks haha.

@MOMTOLITTLEB: I went for the birthstone idea and ordered a "mothers ring" in Emerald from Etsy for $32. It just shipped, I'm so excited!

@MACINTOSH that sounds beautiful, I love emerald! My son was due on the first of the month so we kind of took a chance guessing his birthstone but he was born on his due date so we got it right.

@MOMTOLITTLEB: that's great they it worked out. My LO is due on May 7, and of course my mom said "what if he comes a week early?" Don't jinx me, Mom!

I couldn't wear mine comfortably starting around 28 weeks last time. But my right hand is bigger than my left, so I had some rings that I only wear on the right, and I just started wearing one of those instead. Unfortunately something about being pregnant seems to have permanently made my fingers swell more easily, so mine are already tight at random times now at 11.5 weeks. If I wind up having to take them off way sooner, I think I'll invest in some sort of fairly cheap but pretty replacement set. I like the necklace idea, but my hand feels too naked!

I keep mine on to help monitor swelling, if my rings are feeling tight that's my cue to drink a lot of water etc. If it gets to the point where they are too right all the time I will just go without for a while.

I borrowed a sapphire ring from my mom - which was neat because DDs birth stone is sapphire

I bought a cheap ring from JCPenney. When I would forget to wear it I was paranoid everyone was looking at my hand (doesn't help that everyday I forgot it someone at work would ask my age, least I felt young!)

Pried my wedding set off around 30 weeks and used a ring j bought at Walmart for $7. Was able to put my rings back on comfortably around 3 or 4 weeks after baby.
