We didn't elope but if I could do it all over again, I would've had a small destination wedding with just family/close friends instead of a huge ole wedding celebration.

If I could do it all over again, I would have a small intimate wedding in a garden or something. Or, destination.

Nope, I loved having my family and friends there. I would like to renew our vows one day and do it on a beach just the two of us though.

@chopsuey119: My husband and I got married in Kauai (just the two of us and the officiant) and then 8 months later had a casual reception at my parents house. Sounds pretty similar to you!
We had a great time and would not have done anything different. Most of our friends and relatives who are in the middle of planing weddings tell us that they should have done the same thing. It was not stressful at all.

We're not married yet, but we both want a small destination wedding with a limit of 20 guests.lol

@banana: we so crazy planning our daughters' weddings. I hope we have another girl. I don't think I can handle a bridezilla daughter in law who won't let me plan my son's wedding. (kidding...!) haha.

We eloped and then 11 months later had a big wedding. If I could do it again I'd only do the big wedding. That day was so special to us.

I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding. We had about 145 people there and I just remember thinking so many times "everyone I love in the world is in the same room right now and they are here to celebrate us". It was so surreal and amazing.

@chopsuey119: I know! I hope I don't become a bridezilla mom. Actually I hope I don't become one of those annoying MILs who doesn't think anyone is good enough for their son. Shoot, I might be though. =\

@banana: Dood. I'm totally gonna be one of those moms who thinks her son's the shit.. Like I said.. I hope I have another daughter!
