I just sent DH to the store on his first pregnancy craving run. I am only a little over 9 weeks, so I assume this is the first of many to come. He's picking up Oreos for me! I am having such a craving for Oreos and milk, and he's happy to oblige because he loves Oreos, too! Did you ever send your DH out on pregnancy craving runs? What did you ask him to bring you??

No. I tried to once, but he refused, said I wasn't allowed to have what I wanted. It dawned on him yesterday that he never did get me a milkshake while pregnant and he told me he'd fix that this week, now that I am not pregnant.

I haven't made him go out on his own, but I have gone with him about 4 or 5 times to get something very specific for dinner!!! haha

Once when I desperately wanted a taco salad from Taco Bell. I also regularly had him bringing me home oranges.

I lived off of Double Stuf Oreos during my pregnancy!

Nope. His work schedule is so weird that I couldn't count on him being home to go get anything. I did insist on eating at a specific restaurant once that I ate at as a child. My parents always hated it but my sister and I would always pick it for our birthday dinner. I went there with my husband and it was so, so awful!! Now I understand why my parents hated it.

Hahah. I tried so often and he never indulged me.
But he does buy me flowers, so that counts for something good. @MaisyMay: HAHAHAH. I think this is exactly why he bought me the flowers in December!

@lawbee11: I think I craved what was in season...oranges for the first trimester (seriously like 2 10# bags a week), asparagus during the second trimester (in the Spring) and watermelon during the third (Summer).

Nope, he wouldn't indulge me either. He said I needed to eat healthy for our little tater tot (he was right, but that didn't make me want a McFlurry any less!). I did once have a meltdown on the way home from work because I was all of a sudden STARVING and he kept granola bars in the glove box after that.

I would send DH out for chocolate sheet cake with white icing. But he always got it wrong! German chocolate, black forest... Just not the simple basic one I wanted! Argh!

Only a handful of times. Once was to get mini cupcakes from the bakery. I know there were a few other times but I can't remember what I had him get me.

@FutureMrsMcK: I have also been craving watermelon, but it's so expensive because it's out of season. I usually have it once or twice a week, though (I wish I could have it every day!).

Oh, he did indulge my craving for lemonade often from Wendy's or Simply Lemonade during the summer, my third trimester.

Only once. It was for a sausage egg and cheese plain bagel from Dunkin. He brought two. Hero husband.

I was just watching Dexter and there was a box of Twinkies onscreen. I tried to convince him to go get me some Twinkies, but he won't go!

@prettylizy: My DH wouldn't dare refuse me because he knows if he were the pregnant one he'd be at KFC every other day! Plus I have been working out 4x/week so he said I deserved it...couldn't argue with that!
Oh and I LOL'ed about the granola bar thing!

I haven't had many cravings per se, but in the first tri I would send him out for things that sounded like I could eat them without puking. Like...I think I can eat Panera without wanting to throw up, will you go get some?

Not yet. I haven't had cravings that strong. I might just be a mind over matter kind of person, though.
I did once get him to get me some ginger stuff when I wasn't feeling well, though.

I haven't, but if he was here right now, I would totally send him out for a bean burrito. That sounds surprisingly delicious at the moment.

My DH goes out for me all the time! If I just mention that I am craving something he usually gets it for me without me even asking (or at least offers to). I have a good man.

The other night, we were defrosting meat to make a stew, but I suddenly decided that that didn't sound good... I wanted Papa John's instead, so DH went out to pick it up for me. Luckily it's only half a block away. He offers to go out and get me stuff, but it is freezing in Chicago, so I feel bad making him leave the house. Once it gets warmer, I don't think I'll have that problem...
