Would you do it again?
Would you do it again?

Yes!
And I have no idea. Maybe? I think all of the reasons we were TG the first time would still apply, but I also think it would be fun to throw a gender reveal cookout or something. And I feel like it might be easier for E to bond with said baby if we could refer to it as "little brother or little sister".

Nope and we probably won't for LO #2 when that time comes. Hubby said he wouldn't mind being team green if I wanted to go that route, but I like to have my presents early.

We weren't for #1 but we were for #2 and it was kind of fun! But I think if we were to have a third I wouldn't want to be team green again.

We didn't for #1 but are planning to for #2 when the time comes. I'm glad we found out the first time but I think it will be exciting to have to wait next time.

We didn't for #1, but we did for #2. I felt that it was one of the last, true surprises so I convinced DH and we went with it.

We did! I think for #2 we'll do it again. I wish I had a little more time to wrap my head around whether i would have a daughter or a son before she was thrust into my arms, but the anticipation is so fun.

Yes! I loved being TG and would do it again.
My favorite memory of the day is my Dh shouting "it's a girl!!" (While the nurse shouted "it's a boy!")...hahah talk about confusion. Turns out my Dh was right

We had an agreement that he could have his way and be team green the first time, and then any future children I get my way and get to find out.
But then the dr's office slipped and told us, so I'm not sure how that affected the agreement. I guess we'll see if/when we have another one.

We were for #1 but due the circumstances of his birth, probably won't do it again. We wanted the surprise in the delivery room but I ended up having an emergency C-section under anesthesia and DH was not allowed in the operating room, so it ended up being very anticlimactic/disappointing.

@autumnlove: hahahah it was SO confusing, especially after 3 hours of pushing and 28 hours of labor. I obv believed the nurse (hello, medical professional) and Dh thought he was wrong. For a minute we thought we had a son until the dr spoke up and said Dh was right, it was a girl - ha!

We were for LO1, we weren't for LO2 but the tech couldn't tell us for sure anyway. So we are accidentally TG again?

We were TG for R but probably won't be for future kiddos. I loved it though!

Yes for #1. I definitely loved being TG last time but...we had a ton of ultrasounds at the end and one of the techs called him "he" and showed his boy parts one or two weeks before I was due. I just don't want that to happen again. Really ruined it for me. So if you are TG just make sure to tell them at every single appointment that you don't know the sex.
We're not yet decided but I think we will find out this time just to change it up.

@char54: LOL! Wouldn't be the first time a medical professional mistook the cord draping between the legs for little boy parts!
We were TG for both of our previous pregnancies and we were PLANNING to find out this time, just for something different. But during two different ultrasounds 8 weeks apart with two different techs, we only got two very sketchy guesses for a girl. And since I have a very huge hunch for a boy (like I did with our first son, but I had no clue either way with our daughter), and I'm carrying much more like I did with our son, I'm considering ourselves TG a third time because it will truly be a surprise when s/he gets here.
If we have a 4th child, I have no idea if we would try to find out again or not. Not being able to find out this time was a pretty big disappointment and being TG IS pretty fun.

We were TG for #1 and I loved it. I was the only one who was excited to wait even though it was originally DH's idea. He wanted to go find out towards the end . I wouldn't mind not finding out for #2 but I don't think DH will go for it.

We were TG for our first and it was fun. We found out for our second and HAD to find out for our third. DD is old enough that she knows what is going on and I was worried that if it was a boy (which it is) she would need as much time as possible to get use to the idea of another brother!

we're too impatient! But dh says if future lo#2 is a girl (one of each) then we should be team green for potential lo#3
pomelo / 5621 posts
Yes for #1 and I would do it again! I think DH wants to find out if we have a second, so we will see when the time comes.
I liked not knowing, it as a bit of motivation for those last couple pushes.

I was not TG for this baby and won't be for the next, either. It would KILL me not to know. *But* if we had some kind of oops and ended up with a 3rd and already had both a boy and a girl, I might consider it.

I was TG and LOVED it! The suspense was awful but that moment of hearing "it's a boy!" made it all worth it. I had mentioned finding out next time just to see what it's like, but my husband (who hated being TG during my pregnancy!) said no, he really enjoyed finding out when the baby was born and wants to do it again!

We were TG and I loved it. I was the one who really wanted to be TG and my husband wanted to find out. So I told him that he can decide what to do for all future pregnancies. Turns out he was really happy we waited and wants to wait again when the time comes.

We weren't. We found out ASAP. I will probably find out the sex again early next time too. It was a beautiful moment between DH and I at our ultrasound!
pear / 1861 posts
Yes, it was actually my ex's idea.lol It was a great one, I'll admit that. It was fun to guess what LO was and it was fun to hear "It's a girl!" and be able to tell everyone as they waited in suspense that LO was a girl!

No for #1 and no for any future babies. I'm a planner! The frustration I felt during my pregnancy wouldnt be worth the surprise at the end for me.

I did for #2 and would not do it again! Haha... It was awesome, but once is enough
