@loveisstrange: I agree!
Although I was lucky and had an easy pregnancy so truly can't complain, I didn't really enjoy it. I don't really get the whole 'magical time' deal, it's all swelling and heartburn, and avoiding certain foods, people staring at you on the subway, never offering you a seat mind you, just staring!.
Perhaps it's all still a little too fresh in my mind!

I had a healthy pregnancy, I shouldn't complain, but it was very uncomfortable. At one point, I was a hobbling, all-day nauseated, always peeing, couldn't sleep, with back pain, pelvic floor muscle pain, hip pain, and carpal tunnel on both wrists. I guess I was pretty miserable, but just glad it was a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Loved it the first time- it was so easy breezy. Loving it the second time around too.

I loved it for about 98% of the time. I only experienced morning sickness for about two to three weeks and otherwise felt fantastic and so full of energy. I don't know if I've ever had as much energy as I did in my second and third trimesters! Good thing I liked it because my pregnancy last 42 weeks!

@LovelyPlum: Aww thanks for thinking of me! I hope it turns around for both of us soon, too! The good news for me is that even though I feel horrible, I am starting to feel baby movements and that definitely makes it worth it. BTW, I find that you always manage to say what I'm thinking in a much better way than I can ever express!

Despite a bunch of awful symptoms and some truly wicked SI joint pain, I loved being pregnant. The labour part was traumaric though...so its a mixed situation.

@LovelyPlum: I feel the exact same way I'm now 17weeks and still not able to cook or do much other then go to school and come home I rarely leave the bedroom now cause I'm not comfortable anywhere else but I love the fact that's its all for a good reason and every time I get to see that little baby moving and kicking on a US it just melts my heart along with starting to feel some movement it's awesome

I hated everything about it. I can't think of a single part I liked. I was so sick the whole time, so swollen, so fat, so uncomfortable, baby jamming feet in to my ribs and fists in to my cervix... then the horrible labor/delivery as well... Worst year ever basically.

@MrsKoala: then we must be kindred spirits, because I feel the same way about you...no joke! Yay for baby movements I'm so excited for that
@Honeygold89: aw, yay!

I've had an easy time of it so far, so I feel bad complaining, buuuut...I just don't like being pregnant. I don't HATE it but i really don't like it. Nothing specific, I just don't feel like myself and there's nothing magical for me, just inconveniences. I can't wait to meet my baby, but I'd be 100% happy to skip the whole pregnancy phase and just have him or her here already.

I loved it the first time. I loved how DH waited on me and how I got the special treatment from everyone. This second time....SUCKS! I hate being tired and looking after a toddler. I feel so lazy and useless. I have had so many moments where I just wanted to be done! I hate to see how the third trimester is going to go.

Yes. Both. I loved knowing she was growing and feeling her move and grow. I loved (selfishly) the attention I got and the way people acted around me. I also loved the way the bump looked! All the other side effects? No. Constant acid reflux/heartburn, the pregnancy long nausea, the aches and difficulties moving around? Yeah, I could do without all that and part of the reason I was SO ready to be done.

first trimester was AWFUL but i felt GREAT during my second and third trimesters.

I adored it. I had plenty of aches and pains, as well as constant low level nausea, but I loved it. I never felt more beautiful in my entire life. I would be sad to not have more children, but I would be just as sad to never be pregnant again. I felt so womanly, so amazing.

Hated it the first time, hate it this time. I suffered with Hyperemesis with my first until 18 weeks, at 17.5 weeks this time it's not slowing down and has been worse overall. I'm still struggling to eat, drink, maintain/gain weight, and to just have a life. I wouldn't wish feeling this ill on my worst enemy. Love my babies, hate the pregnancy part!

Love. I think I had a relatively easy first pregnancy - other than being tired I felt great, and was happy with how I looked. I hope I'm lucky enough to have that again and enjoy it just as much the second time around.

@Mrs. Bee: I've REALLY enjoyed it ... I'm only in my 23rd week, so I know there's still a lot ahead of me. Even during the awful 1st trimester, I kept telling myself that I REALLY wanted this, and it was all a sign that the baby was thriving.

Both. Feeling kicks was truly the most amazing miracle I've ever known. I can't imagine not having gone through that... But I had a complicated pregnancy that I don't really want to replicate.

@T.H.O.U.: i gained far less weight! i was so uncomfortable before my third trimester with charlie because i gained 45+ pounds. I gained 22 with Olive and I never felt uncomfortable. Made the pregnancy much easier!

I loved being pregnant! I never got morning sickness, but it did take me a while to get used to it/feel normal. At 16 weeks, I hit my stride and enjoyed every second after that. I had some heartburn, hip/back pain, but up until 38 weeks, I seriously felt better than I did when I am not pregnant.

I was lucky to have a pretty easy pregnancy but it wasn't my favorite experience. I was easily tired and LO kept putting pressure on my ribs which was soooo uncomfortable. I also had a hard time sleeping towards the end as well.

I'm definitely not one of those people that loves being pregnant. With my 1st pregnancy it was 50/50 good and bad. The beginning was bad (awful morning sickness & exhaustion), the middle was good, the end was more bad (swelling, gaining alot of weight, middle of the summer heat).
I'm pregnant right now (9wks) and so far it's playing out like my other pregnancies - sick and tired:(.
