I spotted brown and pink and am currently nursing a 4.5 month old!

I had all kinds of spotting and bleeding with my last pregnancy and now this one, and so far, so good!

I had brown spotting off and on for weeks. I was so stressed about it. But LO was fine

With every single pregnancy. With my first, who is now 3.5 years old, I spotted a little and it eventually went away; with my second, now 21 months old, I spotted a LOT and had a subchorionic hemorrhage; currently 33 weeks pregnant and I spotted a lot in the beginning (thought I was getting my period!) and more after that.

I had brown spotting through week 7. Now I'm cuddling my happy healthy 1 month old.

I remember calling the doctor about spotting at 5 weeks. She said brown and pink usually mean the body is getting rid of leftover blood and tissue that would have been shed during your period. Bright red blood means call the doctor right away. That made me feel better. I'm in the camp of when in doubt or when you're worried, call the doctor.

@MapleMoose: I don't always believe that... I spotted brown before I miscarried last year. My office told me the same thing.

I haven't had any spotting in my pregnancy but my sister spotted with her first and spotted regularly up to 30 weeks with her second, and both girls are happy and healthy!

I spotted on and off throughout my first trimester.

I spotted at 6 weeks, over a period of 2 days. I was a hot mess because I'd had 3 previous early miscarriages, but I saw a healthy baby with a heartbeat at 6 weeks, 4 days. Also I had really bad cramping with my spotting so I definitely thought it was the beginning of the end, but I'm 13 weeks today and so far everything looks great!

I spotted brown and pink during both of my successful pregnancies. The spotting stopped once I was put on a higher dose of progesterone.

@runnerd: Thats really good! I'm glad they're being proactive about it If its low there are so many ways they can help it go back up- lots of people just don't know.

I didn't really have pink/brown (but that's what I voted). I had red bleeding that flipped me out (I practically sped to the OB's office on my birthday), and I'm holding my healthy five month old. I had a MC prior as well, and I totally understand the anxiety.

I had red blood (Dr considered it spotting, I thought it was a little more) once around 17 wks. It just happened once, and no one was really able to give me an explanation for it. I FREAKED out after 2 MCs, but all seems to be going well now at 30 weeks. I guess it's fairly common, but I know that doesn't help w the anxiety!

I had brown and pink spotting a couple of times in early pregnancy.

I bled like a period for 7 weeks straight and he is three now so trust me when I say as scary as bleeding can be it can have a positive outcome. I had a miscarriage before so I was so freaked out and I hax tons of ultrasounds and blood work but it turned out fine, he is a happy active little three year old now so have hope

I'm at 7w today and have had brown spotting throughout the past week and a half. I just now used the restroom and had pink with red blood spotting. Very minor cramping. I'm so nervous! Hoping for the best...nothing I can do until I get home in about a week.

@tejbee: please don't wait a week if you are spotting AND cramping. Is there an ER or and Urgent Care you can go to? I spotted a ton during my successful pregnancy but my doc also told me I needed to be seen right away if the spotting was accompanied by any cramping.
