There have been a lot of meal planning posts lately and I've thing that is all over the map is the actual cost of the meal.
Tonight I made the salmon posted on the blog, it will be dinner for two nights.
Salmon filet, 1.5 pounds, $10.15
Wasabi, $2.39
Teriyaki sauce, $2.79
Mayo...pantry item
Panko, $3.99
String beans, half a frozen bag at $10 for 10, 50 cents
4 potatoes from a 5 pound bag, lets call it 75 cents
Grand total $20.57, about $10 per meal since we will eat the second half tomorrow.
He always uses ground beef but wanted to add ground pork tonight so that's not always a constant. It was a splurge! He always adds minced onions, mince garlic, garlic salt, pepper, bread crumbs and eggs. He just kinda does it to consistency?
