Pity party ahead. Today is my due date. I'm averaging 2 hours of sleep a night. My 4 year old's schedule isn't slowing down so I have to keep up! I contract on and off all night long and they get me nowhere. I've been 2 cms with a high cervix for over a month now, so apparently all these contractions and the miles of walking and sex has done nothing. I never went into labor on my own with DD and now I fear I won't be able to go into labor this time without the same horribly painful Pitocin. Just looking to whine. Everyone keeps telling me "The baby will come when she's ready." I know this. The lack of progress, constant pelvic pain and pressure, and no sleep is starting to make me lose it a little. I feel like it's all pain and no gain at this point.

I hear ya. I am officially one week overdue today. Ive had my membranes stripped and saw no progress. Last night I had some contractions about 10 mins apart but they completely went away when I went to bed. I had some spotting this morning so I think it might be the show. Apart from that nothing is happening! This is my first and I feel the same way... So tired and frustrated. Hang in there it'll happen soon!

My midwife was being really sympathetic today at my exam when she had to tell me "No progress" and she suggested raspberry leaf tea. I smiled and nodded but was really thinking "Yeah, tea. That will do it."

you are such a trooper for hanging on this far for the second time!!! Do whatever it takes to get you through this time of waiting and waiting and waiting... if I were you I'd schedule a prenatal massage, a mani/pedi, some shopping (for yourself!! accessories and makeup!!), and maybe a salon appointment for a wash cut and blowout followed by a romantic date night. I know it's all $$$ but you deserve all those treats and MORE.
Obviously you've done everything you can to get yourself going and nothing is working, so all I can say is do whatever it takes to make this as little misery as possible and just hang in there!!!

I agree with Mrs. Wagon. Though I agree more on the Murphy's law front - if you schedule a massage, surely baby will start to come in time to make you cancel it or run out. If not, yay massage!

Thanks all! DH is being really awesome lately, which definitely calms my urge to be a raging wildebeest. I think I'm definitely going to schedule a prenatal massage after my ultrasound this Thursday, I hear good things. Also picking up the bassinet cheered me up too haha it's so tiny and cute! I'm excited and grateful to be at this point, but this is about my limit on "the glow."

I'm in the same boat! My due date was yesterday and no signs of anything. I'm not contracting all night, though. That would make me crazy. Hold in there and get that prenatal massage! I got one last week and I felt like I wasn't even pregnant the rest of the day. My hips felt better than they had in years! I was 12 days late with my first, and I'll induct at 42 weeks if nothing happens by then, so I just keep telling myself, "Only two more weeks MAX. I can do this!"
