Yea, we are pretty much on the same page about how things get cleaned. He just cleans way more often than I do..... Hahaha

Not. Even. Close. He thinks dusting is 'a waste of time'. Apparently he thinks nobody notices...mmmmhmmmm...

The only thing we fight about is cleaning. We are both messy, but it bothers him when things are that way, and doesn't bother me nearly as much.

@autumnlove: my husband does the same thing and it drives me up the wall. Luckily we agree that having a cleaning lady come in once every 3 weeks is for the best. I can keep things pretty tidy but the deep cleaning just doesn't happen as often as it should.

Yes. we both agree it has to be done.
Now WHEN and HOW OFTEN ..... that's a different matter entirely. Le sigh.

My husband is very neat and I am not. Pretty sure he thinks I'm a slob. On the other hand I am really clean and love to clean (dust, vacuum, sweep, etc.) and he never does this stuff. He never rinses out the food particles in the sink. Sometimes I think he is a slob.

DH is a lot neater than I am, but I clean things better (in my opinion)....I just do it less often, ha!

hell no. at times this has been the #1 issue that we argue about. a cleaning service has made all the difference in the world, and i've actually let go a lot of my tidy/clean tendencies after LO arrived.

DH is much cleaner then I am. But he's learned that if he wants it done his way, he just has to do it himself. We have a cleaning lady every other week for the real cleaning.

nope! Well...I'd say both of us have a pretty big tolerance for mess, but we have different things we are tolerant about.
Like...I like to keep the kitchen and living room clean (never know when people will pop in), but I don't mind my clean laundry being all over the bedroom, lol. (like, on chairs and what-not), whereas hubby wierdly hangs up all his clothes immediately and prefers the bedroom more clean, but doesn't seem to notice his messes in the kitchen or living room.

DH likes to get cleaning chores done as quickly as possible, so after say cleaning the bathroom if I notice he's missed an area I'll point it out and he'll reply something like "well, it's 95% done!" which to him means it's finished. I just end up going over a few bits, not a big deal I guess.

We agree that I'm kind of hopeless, haha. I like to keep our living areas clutter-free, but beware my piles of clothing in the bedroom.

We agree that whomever is the neater one and wants a higher standard of cleaning has to do the cleaning; luckily for me, that means my husband does pretty much all the cleaning, outside of the floor which I like to do

Cleaning was a big issue for us. DH leaves his things all over and I am fairly tidy. He doesn't like cleaning and doesn't really have any cleaning skills so I used to have to show him how to do everything which would take ages and then he'd not follow through. Our cleaning woman has eliminated all of our cleaning conflicts. She's cheaper than marriage counselling.

We are a good cleaning team, I think. I like things a lot neater than he does (clutter bothers me, etc) but he is much better at deep cleaning things (he mops the floors really well, scrubs the bathrooms). Between the two of us we keep the house looking really nice, I think!
@autumnlove: DH does this too! He will scrub the heck out of the kitchen and then ignore the sink. I don't get it!

I think so. We both agree when things are getting too cluttered or needing a deep clean. We both generally agree that I'm supposed to do it, too, lol.
