I was talking about this with my friends the other day and I turned out to be the odd ball because for every nap that LO has at home, I change him into his pjs (a cotton or fleece sleeper). We don't use sleepsacks though, so they also serve as a "blanket". When I do stroller naps I obviously don't change his clothes.
What do you do?

Naps in whatever she has on., which for her first nap might still be pjs, but usually clothes. Night time in pjs.

Nope. I will take his pants off (so he's just in a onesie or t shirt) and use a sleep sack unless it's really warm.

Nope. I just let her nap in her day clothes. I wouldn't want to delay the nap any longer by needing to change them!

She's still in her PJs for her morning nap. For her afternoon nap I take her pants off and leave her in the shirt. I use a sleep sack for both.

Nope. She naps in whatever she's in. It would be mission impossible to take her shoes off (if we were out), so I've learned to take them off before we even get home.

Depends what she is wearing-- as long as it's comfy I leave it, though I'll usually take pants off if she's wearing a onesie. We had been swaddling, now use the magic sleep suit, so just a onesie works best.
If she's wearing a dress that might get bunchy I might change her, but we usually dress for comfort anyway

I don't but my mom did to me when I was little and I STILL love the feeling of changing into something else on those (now extremely RARE) chances I have to take a nap. It's so delicious.

Nope! Just put on the sleep sack. On the weekends, she is still in her pj's for her morning nap, usually. I will take off jeans if she has those on.

Nope. He just naps in whatever he's wearing. I only change him at night for bedtime.

@oliviaoblivia: haha, well based on these replies, i am definitely an odd ball!
@illumina: i don't feel like i am delaying his nap because i change his diaper before a nap and so it's easy to put something else on. Plus, LO doesn't go to sleep on his own very well, it is a whole drawn out process of getting him to sleep. 2 minutes to change his clothes doesn't do much, lol!
@Smurfette: i also don't dress him for the day on most mornings until after his morning nap (unless we are going out before his nap). So he is technically in his pjs....except i change him into a cheap sleeper just to eat breakfast, and then back to his pjs for his nap, LOL. He gets changed a lot, but i don't think he minds.

this thread is making me reconsider whether i should change him for naps! I can't help it though, i love wearing comfy clothes at home so i figure he is more comfortable in pjs.
haha, i guess i have been projecting onto my LO because the minute i get home, i always change into lounge-y clothes that are as comfy as pjs. and surely if i were to ever take a nap, i would change into my pjs!

@californiadreams: Well I'm an oddball too, I guess. LO has started wearing more jeans and corduroys and I can't imagine sleeping in those (totally projecting here!). At the very least I take off the pants but sometimes go as far as to put him in PJs. I want him to be as comfortable as possible so he naps as long as possible!

Nope, she sleeps in whatever outfit she has on for the day which 99% of the time consists of stretch pants and a cotton long sleeve top. The only time I change her into something else for a nap is if she's wearing jeans which is rare (she mostly wears jeggings). I think once she potty trains I'll put her in jeans more often

Nope, don't change her clothes and she's usually not in a sleep sack, either. Just play clothes in her crib.

Not usually. We typically remove pants and shoes though since he uses a blanket and that is generally more comfortable. Lately C asks to get in his jammies for naps so we do it when he asks. At daycare he gets a blanket but no clothing removal or changes.

Nope! She always just wears whatever she is in for the day. Sometimes I don't even change her into pjs for nighttime if whatever she is wearing is clean/comfy

No but he absolutely hates being changed so I wouldn't have ever thought to do it either. He usually naps in his PJ's in the morning though.

I leave LO in her outfit, unless she's wearing jeans. If she's in jeans, I do remove those.

Usually still in pjs for first nap. Then whatever she's wearing, plus a sleep sack. Unless it's something uncomfortable like a jacket or a dress that will bunch up.

He goes down in what he's wearing - UNLESS I change his diaper right before and he's wearing jeans/patns, then I'll put sweatpants on bottom.

@Crisark: lol, it is not something i heard of either, just something i do. i guess in my head i thought nap time = wearing sleep clothes = pjs. it just seemed normal to me, but apparently it is not!

Nope. Until he was probably 4 months though, he was always in sleep & plays. I dress him very "comfy" in general; but if he is in jeans or woven pants I take them off. He wears a sleep sack to bed. We use long sleeve bibs so no changing needed!

Charlie always had to be wearing his long sleeve Carter onesie when he was young, but we just always kept them on him as an undershirt in the winter. But yes we did change him into them for naps because it was his lovey.
With Olive she goes into her sleep sack but we don't change clothes.
