I think parenthood has made me less judgmental of other parents, especially when I see how a small snapshot of a bad or a good day could really skew what you think.
I have my way of doing things and opinions but so far haven't felt as adamant as I thought I might about ways to parent.

Less I think. I used to think that when children acted out, that the parents were to blame. DS is so well behaved for 4 and way ahead of his time, but sometimes, he's not a joy to be around.

I would have to say more, I think I have realized that the way parents raise their children has more effect on how children act than I originally thought.

I'm less judgemental, in general. But haven't you ever been out somewhere and you clearly see terrible parenting? Like, seeing a toddler drinking Coke from a bottle? Yes, I saw that! Or parents who smoke by their baby's stroller?

I've always been VERY protective of growing & facilitating DS's character and understanding what goes into that and being in some REALLY tough circumstances that wanted to go against that, but still doing it... I know it's possible for anyone to cultivate that as well.

@Rubies: Haha I still judge, just I think less. And I think I would get more emotional now that I have a child over serious issues like neglect.

I have friends that I'd see at holiday parties and they would never be holding their own babies. I used to say when I have a baby I will always be holding her.
Now if someone at a party wants to hold my baby I let them. I'm not passing up a chance to eat with bot hands free!

Definitely less! I used to be all 'why would they let their kids scream like that"....now I understand sometimes no matter how good a parent we are, our kids still have moments and sometimes those moments are out in public.

Overall I am less judgemental. I know there are many things I said I would never do as a mom, and I now find myself doing them! :o Also, I have been that mom in the store with a screaming toddler and I probably look like a horrible mom, but it happens sometimes!. But I have to admit, I still judge other parents. There are some things they do that I am like, WHOA, not ok no matter what.

Less. I've learned it's not as easy as I thought. I didn't expect her to be a soldier who does everything right then, but nothing like this.LOL
