Yes..Lydia/Lidia. I get both spellings on occasion, but mostly spelled Ly over Li.

Me, not really. But you tell me - some people have asked if I spell my name with a G. Isn't Gill a guy's name? Sigh.

Anyways, I named my daughter a name that has multiple spellings. I realized later there are a lot of stupid spellings of her name, too. I like her "normal" spelling but know she'll forever get "with an h?" when she tells it to people. No. No H.

Oh yeah, my name is Megan. Ive seen Meghan, Meagan, Meggan, Maygan... Im sure there are more, but those are the ones I remember. It was always annoying and i constantly correct people.

My name is Christina. I get Kristina, Cristina, and even Christine (ALL THE M-EFFING TIME -- because I guess that last syllable is too hard for some people). But I wouldn't call it so terribly annoying that I wish my parents had named me something different.

Yes. Lindsay. I get Lindsey, lyndsey, linzi, linzee, lindzy, pretty much everything. And then when I correct them they call me LindsAy, like over pronounce the A, rhymes with day.

Jessie can be Jesse, jessy, or the most annoying Jessica....even when the other letters are clearly not there they still call me it!

I have a name that is very similar to another name. My name ends in "lyn" and the other name ends in "line" and people often don't really listen and assume my name is the "line" version. It's annoying... But certainly not traumatizing : )

My name can start with a c or a k. Never bothered me though. I think its hard to find a bane that doesn't have spelling options!

My middle name is Michele and most people spell it Michelle. Also misspell my first name all the time, because they've never seen it before.

My name is Erin and I always assume people just know that, since I'm a girl, it's spelled that way. But several times a week people start spelling it Aaron.

I'm hoping it'll help make people think I'm younger than I am once I get old I loved when it was an unusual name, but now I get sad when I hear people talking about how lame & trendy it is on WB people used to put it on those posts 'what names are you over?' I still love it though!

@mrs. wagon: isn't it crazy? It's like people think its basically the same name. My doctor had me down as Christine! I'm like I'm you have my license, ID card, and all the forms I filled out. Are you really that lazy?!

Well, I often get "one N, two Fs" when people ask my name, and in all my life, I've never met someone who spells Jennifer "Jeniffer"... So, that's weird.

@mrs. wagon: I knew two girls growing up who spelled their name Kristina. Now I always think of that as the "proper" spelling.

My name is Carissa and it gets misspelled all the time. Karissa, Carrisa, Karrisa, Charissa, Caryssa, Crissa etc... but I deal with it. Honestly I LOVE my name, so having it constantly misspelled is no big deal

Another Rachel here....it sometimes it is spelled -ael or -eal I guess. But usually people just spell it the way I do, with -el.

My name ends in -ee but people like to spell it using -y, -ey, or -ie instead.

My name could be spelled with a Y, I or IE. It's annoying, but I'm so used to it. I do get bugged when people misspell Lala's name because there is one standard spelling and one non standard spelling that is common and everyone seems to spell it non-standard for some reason!

For M's name, I brought spelling problems on myself because I used the British instead of American spelling. I think it looks better, so we'll just have to deal!
