I have a half day! Pretty stoked because I've never had a job that closed early for good Friday. Daycare's only open till 3pm so this works out well.

I have to work. I've only heard of days off/shortened days at companies that have heavy seasonal work that causes other missed holidays (4th of July & Thanksgiving).

I've always had Good Friday and Easter Monday off as stat holidays. Yay, 4 day weekend! But that's pretty standard for government.

@Astro Bee: DH and I were planning on a long lunch before going to get the girls. But, he has to fill in for a coworker who's on vacation. Boo. I'm going to head to Target and grab stuff for DD's birthday next month.

We used to have a half day, but a couple years ago they got rid of that and the half day on New Years Eve and replaced it with one full-day floating holiday. On maternity leave this year!

Yes. Apparently we used to get it off, but during one of our contract negotiations they changed it so we get Black Friday off instead, which I prefer since it means we get a 4-day holiday weekend and I don't have to come back from the Bay for one day (or use my own time to take it off).

I have to work, but imagine many of customers will close early. My day may be a little shorter outside of the house.

Nope, our office is closed. But day care is also closed. So I'll be trying to get two kids out of the house and entertained since my husband works from home on Fridays and he won't be able to get much done if we're around. And my baby has his 4 month shots in the afternoon.

I SAH, but when I was teaching, our district's spring break always led into Easter Sunday.
DH is taking a four day weekend, starting Thurs. He works for a government funded organization and wouldn't otherwise have it off.

It's not an official holiday for us, but my office usually closes at 3pm on Good Friday. I already took the day off though because my parents will be in town for a visit.

@catomd00: I work for an investment bank and it surprises me every year when I remember that the stock market (and therefore my office) is closed for Good Friday.

My office is closed Friday and it is also my birthday so I get an additional bonus day too. Going to get my hair cut while DS is at daycare.
