@jedeve: thank you for sharing! It was refreshing. I completely agree- this is why I finally decided to jump in. Calling these parents dumb, stupid, irresponsible, etc is not going to solve anything. I had my concerns and reservations when I was pregnant and I honestly didn't know what to do. Coming from a family that doesn't vaccinate (a family member injured by the flu vaccine), I was torn. I was just as much scared of the vaccines as I was polio or tetanus. But it was partly through the guidance and support of a kind and patient doctor who let me bug her with questions and concerns until my face turned blue that ultimately led me to the decision. So I am glad there are providers who accept unvaccinated children, who understand the fear and uncertainty, who don't condemn, but encourage. Maybe I'm an anomaly as a parent who desired to be educated - but I don't think so. I think with a little grace tides may turn. Sure, there are some who will never change their views, but there are many who probably would.

@Mrs. Jacks: Applause. This argument is not a matter of opinion, but of scientific fact. Refusing vaccination based on the far less likely chance of vaccine injury simply does not make scientific sense.

@Mrs. Pen: yes! Kill them with kindness. Can't expect someone to change when you only spew hate.
