Not really. Hunter means exactly what the name would suggest. Although his Dad will be teaching him how to hunt when he is old enough so I suppose it's fitting. We chose his 2nd name because it's my father's name and Hunter John sort of just flowed.
It wasn't until after we'd settled on names (both genders) that we bothered to look into meanings.

@oliviaobliva: Did that name happen to be Cecily? Because I really like that name, but of course I dislike that meaning...it bothers DH more than it bothers me. Who is really going to know or ask about the name meaning anyway?

No, I don't care about meanings. I honestly have no idea what either of the names we have picked out even means.

I don't, really, but out of curiosity I just looked up my favorite girls name and it means "Pity" or "God is my light." We're not religious sooo...maybe if we have a daughter she'll be pitied because she got stuck with us as parents?
