Now, I know we would be happy with whatever sex our child is but if you could chose, what would you prefer and why?
For those of you who have both, what would you want next and why?

I always wanted to have a boy first. I am one of 5 girls in my family, and I easily get tired of girl drama. Now that I have a son, I'm starting to have dreams of having a girl next. I always tell my husband that he is lucky we don't have a daughter yet because I would spend way too much money on cute dresses. There needs to be more options for boy clothing.
Overall I am on team green. I would love both a boy and a girl to complete our little family.

We don't really care but I have dreamed multiple times that we will have a daughter and just last night DH dreamed we had a daughter.

I voted team blue which is lucky that we are having a boy first. I have an older brother and that relationship has always been special for me. I like that any future kids will have an older brother. Hubs said "a girl would have been awesome and amazing and maybe even more cool....but I like that I know what I'm working with for the first one."

I just wanted a healthy baby. I couldn't be happier that I have a baby girl. Would like another girl next since having a sister is the best thing ever.. but I'd love having a boy too.

I always wanted a boy first, then a boy. We had two boys, but lost one. Now I want another boy because part of me feels like 'that's what I was supposed to have.'

i voted "other" because i'm having twins and i want 1 boy and 1 girl.... is that what team green is? lol.

I've always wanted a little girl first. A little boy eventually, but for our first - a little cutie pie baby girl. I'm the oldest, and maybe you want what you had? I have a younger brother and love our relationship, hubs has an older sister and younger brother and wants three kids. Really though, healthy happy babies are all that matter!

I hate to admit this - outloud. I have always been sort of a tomboy - I do my hair the same way everyday, I can barely do my makeup and I dont have much of a fashion sense.. so I am a little afraid of having a girl and would rather have a boy. I know if we end up with a girl I will love her just the same... but the tought is a little scarier.

I SUPER wanted a girl when I was pregnant with my first, and I had my daughter, so I was thrilled. This time, I truly do not care. I mean the first time, I wanted a healthy baby, preferred a girl, but would have loved a boy as well. This time I truly have no preference at all. I would love another daughter and I would love to have a son as well.

I honestly don't care at all anymore, just a healthy baby I think having a boy would be more challenging for me since I'm very girly myself but I know I'd love it just the same!

We both wanted a boy and got a boy. I'm hoping the same happens next time so I can recycle all his clothes!

I can't decide!!! I know DH would love a boy (he is outnumbered by the women in his family...his father is deceased and he has 2 sisters, his mom and me!). So maybe I should vote girl just so things are balanced : )

Damn, I voted wrong. It's because I want a girl, but blue is my favorite color, so I picked blue. : ) I have wanted a girl my entire life, so since starting to TTC, I only imagine a boy and mostly only pick out boy names...I'll plan for and get excited for a boy, but if I have a girl, but will be thrilled.

We want a boy! As much as we love our little girl we would like a little boy too.

DH really wants a girl. He already has a son, but has admitted that he wanted him to be a girl as well. He wants to have the Daddy's little girl thing, which I think is totally sweet and fits his personality.

We really wanted a boy, but were convinced it would be a girl because all of our close family has had boys recently, and that our would be the only one.
We were floored when we saw 5 appendages!
I am such a tomboy that I was also worried we would end up with a girly-girl, and I wouldn't know what to do! We definitely want a girl eventually, but I am thrilled to start with a boy and take him to baseball games!

We have really no preference for our first baby. Whatever it is we will be happy (I know it sounds lame and fake, but we really really mean it!). For the second, we would like the opposite of whatever we have first.

I would like to have a boy first and my husband would like a girl. Either way we are going to be ecstatic.

I wanted a boy. No real reason, I just felt I would be the mom of a boy.

We wanted a boy, we got a girl... and now with her here, I wouldn't change a thing! I think I would have been disappointed if the ultrasound was wrong and we got a boy at birth.

not ttc yet, but I want a girl! DH has two little boys already so a girl would be a nice balance.
Ultimately, a healthy baby will make me happiest.

Obviously first and foremost we want a healthy baby, but if we were able to pick we would have a boy then a girl.

I voted Team Blue! I would love to have a little boy first. Maybe its because I have three younger brothers, but I've always loved little boys and think they're the cutest things...and how much cuter could a baby get than being a mini DH? Awwweee.
DH would love a girl so he can have a "Daddy's little girl."

When I was younger, I would ask what people wanted and their response would be, "It doesn't matter, just as long as LO's healthy."
I used to think that was lame! Now that I'm pregnant, I can genuinely answer the same, exact thing and mean it. I don't really care, just as long as LO's healthy =)
BUT if you asked me anytime before my BFP, I would have said a girl! It totally changed when I found out I was pregnant.

TEAM BLUE. I want a girl eventually, but I want my sons to take on the "protective" older brother role... and I also want to spare my future daughter the exhaustion of being our family "glue" as being the eldest daughter of the current "family glue" - aka me.

DH really wants a girl. I think it's partly because he doesn't have sisters. His mom has always been vocal about not having daughters. When we started trying, I was gung ho girl. Now, I'll be happy with a BFP and a bouncing baby after 9-10 months. Since I did tons of shopping pre-TTC, I have lots of baby boy and girl stuff.

I'm with all the ladies that think every kid deserves a protective older brother. It just seems so sweet.
But a small part of me hopes I have 2 girls and they can be as close as my sister and I are. Having a sister is awesome!
