I work within walking distance of DSW Shoes, Barnes & Noble, Victoria's Secret, Gap, Costco and a grocery store!
Sometimes, I kill time during lunch and go shopping!

I work next to the town that has more restaurants per capita than anywhere else in the world. If there's a type of food or restaurant you want, its here.

I work in a building right above Faneuil Hall, which is one of the biggest tourist spots in Boston. It's fun to be seconds away from good shopping and lots of action, but sometimes it drives me crazy to fight through a high school field trip to get some lunch!

I work next to the Neiman Marcus headquarters which also houses 6 floors of shopping and various dining options.

@pointybird: my husband works in Faneuil Hall too, and has the same complaints about it.
I work on the Charles River, so I have a great view and I am just across the street from a mall (that can be dangerous!)

I'm a sahm. We live walking distance to downtown, so we get to go to yummy restaurants and cute shops.

I work IN a cool place!! In an art museum. One of the largest and best in the country!
There's not too much in close walking distance (we are across the street from a college campus so there are a few quick eating places nearby) but the Boston Fenway area is about a 10 minute walk away and there's lots of cool little places to eat.

@autumnlove: It is, but I feel a little awkward window shopping in there since I have zero intentions on making a purchase! At my previous job, I worked across the street from the Galleria. I liked that better!
@mrs. wagon: That is pretty cool!!

I work across the street from a big mall, and there are tons of other shopping plazas within a 3 minute drive from here as well. Also, they're renovating my office park into a mixed-use space with some high end restaurants and shops, so that's fun. I do most of my errands during lunch, haha.

I used to always work by lots of shopping when I worked in Manhattan and London. I always killed time during lunch by shopping/window shopping. Now I just work from home.
ETA - Oh you know what was also cool about NYC... it was to see movie/TV shoots and celebrities while on your lunch break.

I quick drive gets me to a grocery store, a Gordman's, and a Famous Footwear but that's it. I usually just sit in my car and listen to the 90s at Noon (favorite time of day!) and read my book.

The closest thing to where I work is the American Airlines Center where the Mavericks and Stars play, but we rarely go to games or anything there. Only hockey when the Red Wings are in town.
I used to work in the building that joins on to Marie Gabrielle, a popular Weddingbee wedding location (Mrs. Snapdragon and Mrs. FroYo, Mrs. Plum and Mrs. Apple all got married there). Our current building is just across the street.

I used to work in downtown San Francisco. Loved it. Pretty much can walk out and go shopping and eat or just walk to the pier and enjoy views of the two bridges (Golden Gate and Bay Bridge). I sure miss that a lot. Now, I'm a SAHM and take care of two boys under 3. Not complaining b/c I also live near good shopping as well. Although, most of my shopping consists of buying for my oldest since all of his stuff gets passed down to his little brother.

@mrs. wagon: oooo I love the MFA! (oh my goodness, iPhone just auto corrected that to MDMA, that would have been sooooo awkward if I hadn't noticed!! Haha!!) that must be such a fun place to work!
I work in a residential area, not very exciting:)

I work a few miles away from an AWESOME outdoor mall. It's definitely hard to resist going there every day during my lunch break!

The street where I work is the "most filmed" in Toronto. There is something filmed there just about every month. It makes it interesting looking for celebrities. Haven't spotted anyone but the mom from the Cosby Show yet.
Other than that, I work near a cemetery.

I look out my office window to farmland... nothing exciting there. I get the occasional goat sound to go with it. No exciting shopping around either. Pretty boring.

I used to work on wall street with tons of stuff within walking distance. Now I'm in Nashville and I'm not in the downtown area so there is only Maggianos that I can walk to. I hate having to get in my car to get lunch!!

My office building overlooks a pond, which is cool. But its in the middle of nowhere, so I can walk in the woods if I want...but can't go shopping on my lunch break.

so many Boston Bees, I work on the same street as WGBH & New Balance.
I live next to Target
@mrs. wagon: we're at your work all the time!

@rachiecakes: cool!! I used to live right down the street from GBH and New Balance (I'm at the factory store all the time!) and I used to work at GBH, before they moved to that location!
