I have the day off but DH works! I need to go grocery shopping...I really avoid that task when DH isn't around!
What are your plans for today?

DH and I are on our way to our hometown to visit my parents. Then we're going to wander around and reminisce because we started dating on Memorial Day (in 2006). So happy we both have the day off!

No work today for both of us. We have some friends coming over early afternoon. Then, BIL is going to throw some steaks on the grill.

gonna try to work as much as possible! have barely been working the past month+ due to lack of childcare and sick kids. mr. bee took charlie out so i can get some stuff done!

I have the day off, Buddha's Birthday coincides with Memorial Day this year so I have the rare opportunity to actually talk to my friends back home (no one has to wake-up early)! I had a 3-way conversation (Jr. High school style) in the morning and it was great!
DH's working and will pick-up a few things in IKEA after. He's asking his bro for help with the lifting and I suggested them going out to dinner together - I'll have more time to make a few more calls ^_^

today we are mattress shopping and then bbqing with our folks. then getting in bed early for our early am flight tom to FL!!

No work for me today. My mil is leaving in a couple hours. I'm not sure what we'll be doing after that.

gonna get five guys for lunch, relax, then head over to dh's aunt's for some swimming and a BBQ.

No working for DH or I today. I'm making a funfetti cake with sliced strawberries and cream cheese frosting for my nephew's 5th birthday today! We are going over later this afternoon to my parent's house for the party and to grill out.
Normally, we'd take our dog with us to go swim at my parent's, but she has a cut on her leg and the vet said no swimming for a month! So she has to stay home in the Cone of Shame. Poor thing. -
Not work for me! I love paid holidays.
I'm just going to try and clean up around the house and do some shopping.

SO thankful not to have to work today. I used to work in a job where we had to work weekends. Long weekends and holiday's off make me so happy I switched! We're having a lazy weekend at home.
Holy mother of GOD it is hot and humid outside! Husband doesn't swim (he can, just doesn't like being in the sun) so no pool for us today. We might get lunch out but we have leftovers from last night's food-fest for dinner.

I'm still on maternity leave so nope! I went to the supermarket to do our weekly shopping and I was expecting it too be quite in there, and it was packed!

It's been a good day to catch up on a few things here and I'll take my holiday later this week when everyone else is working!

We are both off today, we dropped my IL's off at the airport this morning and got breakfast. So far Grammy detox day 1 is going well! He hasn't been set down for the past week.
We are watching Capt America and Thor so we can go see Avengers soon. Need to go get groceries too.

We did absolutely nothing. And I'm still exhausted.

I spent the day moving one classroom into another. It took allllllllll day long, but I got it done! I also painted 4 bulletin boards.

Our 3 day weekend was last week (Canada) but i'm on mat leave so technically I didn't work. ha.
