I actually really want another girl and I'm worried I'll end up with a boy! lol! I don't know what I'll do

I never worried about it. Actually wanted 2 girls!
Now I loooooooooooooooooove having one of each!
If I were to get pregnant again, I'd want another boy!

i originally wanted a girl so badly and got a boy (who i am in love with of course!), but for #2, i am definitely hoping for a girl. And i also like the idea of one of each so much more than all boys!

Yes, I do worry a little! I want a boy eventually!

i really wanted a girl after Charlie because i've always wanted a girl. But i knew she was a girl before we found out. i just knew.

People ask us if we will keep trying for a boy, I tell them that that's how people end up with 10 kids. Two girls is fine, thanks.
I always imagined one of each though, probably because that was what my family was.

I worry... Since the sperm determines the gender and in DH's family they had three boys before having a girl.. and we plan to stop at three. so I worry I won't have a girl.
I wouldn't mind having two boys first... as long as I DO have a girl.

If we could guarantee a girl we'd definitely have another LO. As is, it seems our chances of conceiving a McK girl are slim to none--there hasn't been one born in a very, very long time (75 years and 10 boys born in a row). I don't think I'd worry if we had another boy but I do think I'd be a little bit sad (but not surprised). I'd get over it quickly, though. Cause then I'd be the Queen in a house full of boys.

@autumnlove: let's switch with the third if we don't get them?

I would have loved all boys until I got my girl - now I'd be happy with all girls because she's just SO awesome : )

Sort of but I think having 2-3 little boys would be adorable.
Until they turn into bottomless feeding pits, of course.

I would like one of each but I would be good with all boys too after having Ds. I love having a boy! I would love a. Daughter some day as well though.

I worried that I wouldn't get my girl, as I am the only girl for my parents (1 girl, 3 boys) and my DH is one of two boys. But I got her! And now I want another!

I'm torn. I really really want a girl, but I love having a boy. I think it would be awesome for the next one to be a boy so brothers can grow up together... but I really want a girl and DH only wants 2.

I want 4 kids and would love it if they were all girls (currently have 2 DD)

Yes I worry. I want a girl so bad. Boys run in the family though.

Don't know what we are having just yet (although gut feeling says boy) but I gotta say, if Mr. Hedgie leaves me with nothing but boys... I will be so lost! I have never really been around little boys! I wouldn't know how to handle 3 boys! I am praying HARD for atleast 1 or all to ge girls. We shall see!

I actually DON'T want one of each. I don't know why, but when people say, oh you must want a boy next time so you'll have one of each, it seriously annoys me. It's like the perfect family consists of one boy and one girl and if people don't have that, they must feel some level of disappointment.
We're hoping to have three children and honestly, I kind of hope I have all girls, although I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if one of them was a boy.

I really want another boy next, then hopefully finish with #3 a girl... but I'd be perfectly happy having all boys!
pomelo / 5321 posts
I do. I know it doesn't matter but I really want one of each. I honestly think two kids is probably where we'll stop. I hope the next is a girl!
pomelo / 5469 posts
We both want one of each, but if we get two of the same, we'll most likely try for a 3rd. But then that's it, either way!

@Bao: I feel exactly the same way! I don't mind either way for our next one.

@mrsjyw: @Mrs. Pen: @FutureMrsMcK: @mrsaudi: totally understand the fear (I thought I'd never get my girl!) but it's totally possible! DH is one of 3 boys, his brothers have boys - but, I got a girl! I had a gut feeling she was a girl but man was his family shocked! We DTD 2 days before ovulation, who knows how much weight that has to it though

I wanted one of each, and I got it. Would love another girl....my hubby wants another boy.

DH wants a boy, I would be happy with either since I am super close to my sister so I'd love for LO to have a sister. But if I have a second girl I know he will really want to try for a third.
grapefruit / 4681 posts
I don't really worry about it but I really would like our second to be a girl...one of each. It would also be nice since there are no girl grandchildren on either side!
Both our parents had two boys and a girl last, so we keep saying that might be us too.
pomegranate / 3768 posts
Nope, don't care! Would be happy either way. Before I always thought it would be ideal to have a boy and girl but now that I have a girl it would be sweet to see her with a little sister. They can be best friends!
