Does pregnancy make you feel sexy?

Absolutely not.
My skin has been a terrible mess the whole time. It's finally starting to clear up a little. We went to a Christmas party on Saturday night and I told DH it was the first time I'd felt pretty since July.

NOPE!! Pregnancy makes me feel pregnant, fat, huge, achy and tired. Sexy is none of those things! lol!
squash / 13199 posts
No no no.
I liked having bigger boobs and being bigger than my usualy skinny self but still the pregnancy itself didnt make me feel sexy
grapefruit / 4923 posts
i don't feel sexy, but i like the way i look these days (34 weeks)--although not so much when i was feeling nauseated and had acne!
honeydew / 7504 posts
I wouldn't say it makes me feel sexy, but there is something sensual about it. That being said, my sex drive TANKED pretty much the second I got pregnant, so even though I feel good about myself, I have zero interest in sex.
pomegranate / 3383 posts
Yes! I was super comfortable with my body when I was pregnant and my DH told me I was beautiful and sexy all the time. He's kind of obsessed with me...hahaha.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
Er, not yet! I've got a broken out face, greasy hair, a not-quite-baby-bump, and my sex drive is about 10% of what it used to be. Sexy, I am not. Tell that to my husband though, he's all bananas over pregnant me
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
Definitely not, or not yet, at least. Only 7 weeks, but I've been varying degrees of nauseous for a week, plus super tired, and since I've been eating so much to keep the nausea at bay, I've already gained 5 pounds of pudge around the middle. So... no, I do not feel sexy. I'm hoping that could change come second trimester?
And like @littlebug: my sex drive is pretty much zero since I got my BFP. I guess my body is like, yeah, we got what we needed from that, moving on...
pear / 1664 posts
Absolutely not! Gross, jiggly, smelly, sick, exhausted, and pimply, yes. Sexy, no.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
I didn't gain until after 30 weeks, so I totally did until then! aside from the constant throwing up..that's not so sexy.

I started laughing when I read the title to this post, so clearly I do not. On a normal day, I don't feel unattractive, though, so I guess that's something!

I feel beautiful and confident in my body, but do not feel sexy. My libido has been in the dumps lately.
nectarine / 2750 posts
During the first trimester, my answer would be a big NO, but now that I am feeling better, starting to look pregnant and have more energy I would say yes!
grapefruit / 4669 posts
I feel cute, but not sexy! (we always end up laughing uncontrollably at some point when we try to have sex these days because things are difficult and sometimes don't work)
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
I felt cute but never sexy! Especially the last few weeks.....Dr said H's head was low, and DH basically gave up on the whole idea after that. Weirded him out that her head was not far from his junk. And I felt so huge and exhausted, sex was the last thing I honestly wanted to partake in
@tororojo: ditto on finding sex hilarious! We'd try to ignore our child in between us and then she'd start hiccuping or kicking him and we could not get past it! We'd bust out laughing! And sex would not happen!

I am at a sweet spot at 16 weeks--no longer feel bloaty or sick or tired (for the most part). I normally have a small chest and the girls have gotten a nice lift, which DH is VERY interested in...so through his eyes I feel very sexy...on my own, not really.
pear / 1946 posts
Heck no. With all the nausea, heartburn, gas, swelling....who can feel sexy?
apricot / 483 posts
@tororojo: Haha oh yeah we had quite an amusing session the other day...
I'm kind of finding my torso to be sexy, but legs/butt/mini double chin, not so much. Overall, I feel pretty uncomfortable but I'm doing my best to embrace the changes. Although I'm really excited to get back into shape after she's born.
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
I think I might be one of the only ones who absolutely feels sexier pregnant! I've had a pretty rough pregnancy between pains, complications, and the nausea, so I haven't enjoyed it very much. The only thing I've really enjoyed is the way I look -- I've never felt more beautiful, sensual, attractive, and confident! I feel so womanly and beautiful. I feel totally comfortable in my naked body right now.
pomelo / 5093 posts
I did feel so beautiful and sexy. My husband was pretty excited about it too. I've never felt so comfortable in my own skin as I did then.
grapefruit / 4235 posts
I feel beautiful...sexier though? Not so much. Though my husband seems to be really into it. I feel too bulky and awkward to feel "sexy."
@tororojo: @PrincessBaby: I was dying laughing the last time we had sex too. I couldn't stop.
pomelo / 5791 posts
I don't feel gross, but I don't feel sexy either. I feel - round.
coconut / 8279 posts
Nope, I felt gross.
I thought I looked pretty cute but still felt gross... does that make sense?
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
@tororojo, @PrincessBaby, @dagret: so funny! i'm actually enjoying sex more! it's more complicated, but once we get in the groove, i definitely enjoy it. it's weird because i've been having terrible pubic/pelvic pain, but for whatever reason while we're sexing, the pain goes away!
grapefruit / 4235 posts
@photojane: Everything is so swollen down there that it feels super-uncomfortable for me. We wouldn't even be able to do it without...electronic assistance...which distracts from the OUCH sensation.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
I felt gorgeous and confident. But not really sexy. The sex was good when I managed to get myself in the mood, but that was rare, and got less and less frequent the bigger I got (even as my confidence stayed high). DH was still super attracted to me, though.

No, I loved how my body looked with the bump, but the nausea and heartburn made me feel miserable!
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
@rachiecakes: Sometimes I feel the same way. Lol
coconut / 8279 posts
@autumnlove: like I feel like my bump looked cute and I loved my maternity outfits but I always felt like I had a stuffy nose, I was always crampy/BH's, I was exhausted and swollen. Definitely not in the mood for anything but sleep.
pineapple / 12802 posts
It's not terrible right now, but my husband is really good at telling me I'm beautiful and sexy. He also finds preggo's pretty attractive so I won't have any problems there! At least I know he'll think I'm hot.
