Or will my doctor still use last menstrual period start date?
Or will my doctor still use last menstrual period start date?

If the difference is less than 1 week, your Doc will likely use your LMP (mine does). I know the exact date and it makes a 4 day difference (sooner) in due date calculation as compared to using my LMP, but my Doc still goes by LMP.

I knew when I conceived (I had a longer than usual cycle).
That info + first ultrasound determined my EDD.

@chopsuey119: Sad that I know the exact date!

I know the date but my doc is using my LMP. On my ultrasounds, I am measuring according to my date but my doc is still using LMP since the difference is only 3 days.

My exact date and my LMP date are a day apart, but the LMP day is my MIL's birthday and I refuse to accept it as my due date.

My doc set my DD based on my first ultrasound. All through my 1st trimester my ultrasounds (all 4 of them thanks to bleeding!) continued to show the same date of 11/25.

I was pretty sure of my exact date but my doctor told me that she always works off of LMP date to determine the due date. That and watching the growth through ultrasound throughout the pregnancy. I am curious to see if baby will be born closer to the EDD the doctor provided or a date that might be closer to what I think it might be based on conception date!

@oliviaoblivia: I was induced on mu MIL's birthday, and was crossing my fingers all day LO would wait until the next day (my sisters birthday) to be born! I had my c-section and he was born at 19 minutes after midnight *whew*

Mine used my LMP, even though I knew it was two days off. He's never made any comment or adjustment based on ultrasounds.

Mine used my date (I know the exact date too) combined with the first U/S info (which was right on track with my date).

@Andrea: same here! Course it was really annoying when DR said I couldn't be induced until 39 weeks and went by the LMP. The LMP date fell on a weekend so it delayed my induction several extra days.

@leelee: I am due at the end of Dec/early Jan so I don't mind going late if it comes to that to get further away from the holidays. Otherwise, I can see how that is annoying!

Since I temped and charted for #2, and my OB knows me pretty well, we went with my O/conception date... My early dating ultrasounds showed the same EDD with my date, not LMP's!

Mine went by the dating ultrasound because I was measuring so small compared to what my LMP should have showed. Luckily I was charting and my O date matched up exactly with the dating U/S date so having the EDD "moved" back 3 weeks wasn't surprising! (yep, I was having super long cycles!!)

I know the exact day of conception but the doctor based it on my last cycle and ultrasound, both are 2 days before my "real" conception day. Either way they are super close together =]

My dr went off of last missed period, even though I knew the date we BD'd. After my US's though, the date changed due to how baby was measuring.
