    @artsyfartsy: better to feel silly than anxious. Glad you're getting it sorted so you can put it into the "man kids early like to freak us out" pile.

    Glad he's OK!!! It's better to feel silly and know he's OK! IT's hard not to overreact in the age of Dr Google!

    @artsyfartsy: that's great news! I c an never decide if I'm over or under reacting. But better to bring him in for nothing than miss something big, right? Though I know he's had plenty of scares already- poor mama.

    @Mae: I know right? Lol

    @regberadaisy: Haha yeah me too! i never know if I'm under or overreacting!

    @Foodnerd81: Yeah it sucks! We've have enough health scares. Luckily most of them have only been scares, but it's super frustrating going through the whole process of worrying and testing.

    @artsyfartsy: weird. Droopy lid is more of a neuro rather than ophtho thing. Ophtho will know, but they aren't the typical referral.

    The thing I was most interested in was does your LO have any other neuro findings consistent with weakness? For that reason, they need to look at more than just the eye.

    @Mrs. Jacks: Nothing else unusual except his gross motor delay/low muscle tone.

    @artsyfartsy: so they checked all the cranial nerves, reflexes, checked for clonus?

    My worry was that the low tone, gross motor delay was related to the eye.

    How's he doing now?

    @Mrs. Jacks: They checked his eyes and said his ocular muscles are working perfectly. He had an MRI of his brain done last August when he was hospitalized with possible meningitis and it was completely clean. His ped said they could use that MRI instead of doing a new one. I haven't heard from the pediatric optometrist yet but they said we didn't need to get in a hurry to have him seen. They'll probably call in the next couple of days.

    He's doing fine. To me I still can't see anything but the droopiness. It's only really noticeable in the evenings when he's tired but I still notice it. But T is none the wiser. Happy and playing like normal.

    But I do feel like I was expecting more of an evaluation when we went. But at the same time, his doctor mentioned a lot of things that would cause for alarm along with the ptosis and he had none of them. Like you said, it was my concern that this was all related to his low muscle tone/delay.
