I always assumed passing any part of the mucus plug would be disgusting and disturbing ...and it was. Today I found something special in my panties when I used the ladies room after dinner.
...made the mistake of google imaging "mucus plug" and low & behold: there it was: an exact match
I am only 30w but they say you can loose it after sex (had yesterday) and it does NOT mean labor is coming....so I'm not going to worry about it, but man was it gross looking (& feeling because I'm gross and I touched it)

Yuck. It came out while iI was in labor. I was so grossed out by it because it kept coming each time I went to the bathroom.

Yea mine was continuously coming out for weeks leading up to labor... I would find bits of it in my underwear almost every time I went to the bathroom!

I lost mine a few days before I went into labor! It was huge! 3-4 inches long and really pretty. I stepped out of the shower and it was stuck to my inner thigh. Hhaa I grabbed it, had DH take a pic and spent a couple seconds examining it

I don't recall every losing mine with my first. Will be interested to see what happens this time (currently 34w5d) and so far no sign of it.

I hope I am one of the lucky ones that looses it entirely and doesn't notice next time. It was something I could live without ever seeing.

@chopsuey119: bahahah that's funny because when I told my husband what it felt like he was like "WHY did you touch it? just throw your underwear away!" ...How could I not examine it, seriously? Like I was gona pass that up.
