Sorry, I can't tell you if it's worked or not until Tuesday when I get checked.
My OB told me not to take it vaginally until 37w because it is much stronger when its vaginal.
I do take it orally though.
For those who don't know: EPO will soften the cervix, thus allowing dilation and effacement to happen quicker once labor does start. It does not start labor.
I think it's great because if you needed to be induced, then your cervix would be soft and the induction would go with a better chance of success.

I took it, but not as much as is directed and orally. I don't know how much it helped, but I was at 10 5 hours after my first contraction... fairly quick for a first-timer.

@TurtleDoves: when/if you start taking it vaginally, will you continue orally? the package says how to take it orally but that's it - so I'm not sure if I should do one way or both?
@c.sassy: wow, that is quick!
I figure since I'm 38 weeks I'll go for the vaginal vs oral if it's stronger that way!

I took an oral dose and went into labor about 4 hours later. It was probably coincidental. I was 39 weeks and 5 days.

Did both AND used it in my bathwater.... did nothing for me.
Although, I was induced and I did dilate stupidly fast once things got going. Like... 3 hours fast.

I used it orally starting at 37 1/2 weeks. I was induced at 39 weeks and Im pretty sure it's the reason I went from 2cm to 10cm within 4 hours.

@sorrycharlie: i started at 34w4d when my OB gave me the ok. And yes I'm going to keep taking it orally and vaginally because I do not want to be that girl who stalls and ends up in csection:( I have read many places that you're supposed to poke the capsule with a pin and insert it in. Wear a pantiliner;it'll leak.
From the looks of it the girls who took it progressed very quickly!
I get checked at 36w4 days (6days from now) so I'll def let you know if I'm at all effaced or dilated because I would have been on them 2weeks at that point.

@mamabird: did you tear? Some women claim it helped them to not tear and I'm thinking that is the best benefit it could offer.

Okay, after reading this I'm definitely taking it. I'm hoping between that and acupuncture I can avoid an induction!
