third trimester? i didn't mind the walking and most places don't have it anyway around here.

ps im 8 months pp, (not a newborn baby mom) and i use the ones at BBB all the time at nighttime, (because it's an empty lot)

Our grocery store has one and I'm about to start using it! I'm visibly pregnant, but not that far along. Parking usually isn't very good, and carrying in the cart cover, DS and walking in the heat is killer, so I'm about to take advantage!

Lol, the first time DH parked in one I had JUST gotten my BFP! (It was a grocery store late at night, though). After that if it was available he would always take it. I never did when I was driving, though. I'd park further back...I never minded the walk, even when I was huge. I'd probably be different if I was baking #2, though, and had DS with me (like @matador84:)

For me they were the most helpful in the first trimester, when I was super nauseous. Second/third trimesters, I could take them or leave them.

I used them in my 3rd tri at BRU!

I've only seen them at our BRU.

Funny story though, when we were registering my husband wouldn't park there. He thought that "expectant parking" was only for those due that month or overdue!

Ha, I'm one of those who used it when barely pregnant. I was so excited to use it lol. We have it at BRU, BBBaby, one(I think only one) Wegmans. Honestly, I'd rather have the parking spot for parents with a newborn(BJ's)!

Once I went shopping with my brother and he asked me if I got a special spot at the outlet mall for my 'condition' when I said no, not here he was let down haha

I'm 37 weeks and haven't used it yet. I'm still able to walk well, and I've known many pregnant women that had a much more difficult time than me. So I won't use it unless I need it.

Only when i was going to the grocery store with a newborn PP. ours are for "new and expecting mothers". I never needed it while pregnant

Never. I have too much pride!!

ETA: If our grocery story had it, I might have used it beginning in my second tri since I was on bed rest at that point!

When I was in my second and third AND I needed to pick up big items. Otherwise I'd just park wherever..

I've never used them. So far, I'm not too terribly uncomfortable and I don't mind the walk. When I'm in labor, I will definitely use them then.

We had family parking, which we always once we had the car seat installed in the car.

We still use the infant parking at the grocery store, because we go with our son and they're usually empty!

We parked there when the only parking available is way out there. I was in my 3rd trimester in TX heat so I was all for a shorter walk on those days. Otherwise, I didn't mind walking a few extra steps.

My husband used one at the grocery store last week, when I was 16 weeks. There was plenty of parking close to the store and it didn't make a difference to anyone I'm sure, but I made a point of pointing out every very pregnant woman with a toddler in tow and telling him that the spot is for HER, not me.

I would consider using the expectant mother parking spots at Ikea if I visited in my third trimester and the weather was really bad (they're in the indoor parking area).

I used one once during first trimester at the grocery store. There was no parking nearby, I had been sick and vomiting for days, DH wasn't around, and I had an idea of one thing I could eat that I would be able to keep down. The parking attendant actually made a comment, and I snarked back at her that I qualified (not proud of that). I was so miserable, and I figured they would probably prefer I got in and out as quickly as possible rather than getting sick in the middle of their store

Haven't used one since. My OB's office has permit only expectant mom spots for which they give you a permit at 32 weeks.

I've never used them - I never felt the need to. I wasn't uncomfortable at the end of my pregnancy (nor now, in the second tri of my second pregnancy) and certainly didn't need a special parking spot. Also, I'm the person who usually parks in the first spot I see, no matter how far back it is in the lot. Walking the extra 50, 150, 500 feet, whatever, doesn't bother me and nothing irritates me more than being in a car with someone who will drive around for an extra minute or two to find that one spot five feet closer to the door. Just walk already!

That being said, if I were in excruciating pain at the end of my pregnancy, I would possibly use it then, but only if walking exacerbated the pain.
