I just checked The Conscious Parent out of the library, but haven't had a chance to read it yet! By the time I get my kids in bed I'm exhausted, ha.
I want to read some of the ones I have seen recommended on here but they aren't all in my library's system..I saved some to my kindle wish list!

If you listen to podcasts, janet lansbury has a podcast that helps you get the general idea of her parenting philosophy. It's called unruffled.
Also, it's for older kids, but how to talk so kids can listen and listen so kids can talk is awesome.

Love Janet Lansbury too. My favorite is either Unconditional Parenting (Alfie Kohn) or It's Okay Not to Share (Heather Shumaker). I think overall I like Kohn best, but the other covers more and each chapter stands alone so if you're looking for something specific you can just read that bit.

@winniebee: That's the one my library doesn't have. Gotta buy it but my phone won't let me buy so I have to download on computer. I keep forgetting, ha!
