    @littleblessings: I would be 13 DPO from my initial positive. However I have way more EWCM this time so I'm guessing I am actually ovulating now.

    Top picture was my OPK from 2 weeks ago, middle was 2 days ago and bottom was last night. This mornings was a tad lighter so I think it's starting to fade out.

    @mrskansas: I caved and took one last night and I think it was better so keeping fingers and toes crossed! I haven't even told dh yet ... for some reason I find it easier to know at least a little info from testing before I tell him good or bad news. Probably this weekend I will tell him if all looks good. My goal is to skip testing tomorrow and pretend like I'm not crazy!

    @knittylady: no real update! I took an OPK this morning that was very near positive. I know impending AF can do that, but I just can't imagine light/moderate spotting for 9 days then stop then start AF. That would just be cruel!

    I'm gonna try and hold out for tomorrow morning with another FRER.

    Luckily, today is my busiest work day so I'll be preoccupied. But I work with babies, so probably not. Double-edged sword!

    @madisonbee: what has your CM been like?

    @bhbee: That's great! And I know what you mean about not telling your DH yet. I think I will hold off next time too because I keep getting his hopes up

    @knittylady: did you decide to go for it this month?

    @mrskansas: we did! I ovulated yesterday or today I'd say and we bd-ed the last three nights and I hope to tonight as well.

  14. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @knittylady: yay!
    Maybe we'll have the same due date

    when do you plan on testing?

  15. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

    @mrskansas: I'm thinking the day my period is due if not after. Been burned by cp's too many times to deal with faint lines before af. You?

    ETA that should be the 21st.

    @knittylady: good job on that bd!!!

    I thought I had posted it already but now I can't find it, so I must not have hit "submit."

    My POAS day is the day my period is due and the day we leave for vacation. I don't think I'll bother with FMU that day since our flight is really early. Also my mother-in-law is coming with and spending the night with us the night before, and I'm not very good at hiding my emotions in the moment and she really latches on to everyone else's experiences and asks a lot of questions and makes it her own... so I just don't want her around when I test. Trying to decide if I should POAS before we leave or just go on vacation and wait and see if AF shows, and if she doesn't then POAS when we get back. That will be about 20 DPO. Thoughts?

    Were not able to BD last night after all but did this morning. I haven't had a positive OPK yet so I'm hoping our timing is still good! Might try again tonight too.

    @bizwitch: I'm
    No help because I'm constantly having a mental debate with myself over af or a bfn being worse. Ugh. At this exact moment I'd say don't test, just wait to see if af shows- but ask me again in an hour

  20. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @knittylady: I'm not sure when I'll test. I'm going to count today as O day so if I can hold out until the 22nd I'll be happy

  21. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

    @knittylady: Yeah in reality the whole thing might be moot b/c I might get to 10 DPO and not be able to hold out anymore.

    REALLY hoping for a longer LP this cycle as my last one was just 10 days.

  22. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @bizwitch: If it were me, I would test at 12 DPO. You should have an answer by then and I would rather test a little early and be prepared for what's to come since you're going on vacation.

  23. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

    @mrskansas: That would be the day BEFORE we leave for vacation!

    @mrskansas: I think if i test before af is due DH will divorce me...

  25. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @knittylady: yeah my husband is sick of the "i think i have a faint line on a test!" bit. Even if I end up testing early I won't tell him about it until there's a very clear second line. Or maybe the day before the first ultrasound, lol

  26. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

    @mrskansas: I don't even know what that's like. To have a faint line on a test. There's usually nothing to tell my DH except that AF came. Wahhh.

    I'm convinced men don't have as good eyesight as women because DH has never believed a squinter.

    Last pregnancy, I ended up getting digitals to convince him (and me. Since I take HCG, I easily get false positives while it's working it's way out of my system)

  28. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

    @mrskansas: Not that a CP is any better. I did have one once and it was awful. Getting my hopes up, being all excited followed by the most painful period I've had in 20 years.

  29. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @bizwitch: yeah it all sucks. I've had more positive tests than I have negative so can't speak for never seeing a 2nd line, but all I know is, TTC is rough!
    My DH doesn't even know I just now ovulated. The last time I said I was ovulating he said "you're always ovulating or pregnant" so now I'm not going to tell him anything.

  30. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

    @mrskansas: My DH just needs me to explain things to him like a hundred times. This morning before BD I was like, I'll be right back, I have to pee on a stick. And he's like "why?" I'm like "Dear God, the same reason I did yesterday when you asked and the day before when you asked and the same reason I did last month around ovulation time." I know that he's never going to understand all of this as well as I do, but I feel like I have to explain everything ten times!

  31. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

    @bizwitch: I just stopped explaining!

    I chart on paper and leave the paper out so DH can see it if he wants to, but I feel like less information for him leads to less stage fright and overall confusion.

    And when I have brought up things like OPKs, he'll respond with something like "I take the trash out in this house. I know about more than you think I do."

    So evidently he also digs through my bathroom trash. lol

  32. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

    @MaryM: LOL! What a sassy response!

    I would be shocked if my DH ever noticed that the bathroom trash was full and needed to be taken out. Same if he ever noticed a dirty toilet. LOL.

  33. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @bizwitch: that's frustrating. my husband doesn't get it either. he doesn't think that I should even use OPKs and we should just have sex and "see what happens". I've tried explaining to him that we don't see each other during the week and so usually we only BD Sat/Sun and we would probably always miss our window.
    But, I guess we have to remember that we are married to men and they will never really get it

  34. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @MaryM: my husband has said stuff like that too! I told him at one point that I wasn't using OPKs anymore and he said "so why are there a bunch of blue wrappers in the trash that say ovulation on them??".
    Busted!

  35. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

    @MaryM @mrskansas: I guess I am fortunate that DH is as invested in having a kid as I am. It's just that things go in one ear and out the other.

    It's probably like when he starts talking about bicycles or brewing beer. I totally glaze over despite my best efforts to stay engaged.

    On a side note, I think he has a new metaphor for BD. LOL!

  36. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @bizwitch: lol! I love that

  37. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

    @mrskansas: He said it's not a metaphor! So I guess he just really wants to talk about it. I know he really wants to be a dad. I like that he's thinking about it at work.

    @Tionn3: Good luck with testing!

    @mrskansas: @knittylady:

    I'm home, thankfully, though have not had the greatest morning. Feeling somewhat sick and exhausted (after a ton of sleep), and like the prospect of holding our baby just gets further and further away the more emotional and physical energy that I put into TTC. I'm sure my mood is like the weather, though, wait a day and it will change.

    @bhbee: nervous! I took a second FRER on Weds and it looked darker and time to positive was faster, but is was also FMU instead of a 3h hold. My Wondfos seem to be getting very gradually darker but still aren't super brightly positive. In combination with the tiniest whispers of a cramp here and there, I'm freaking out about another chemical. Wil go to get betas drawn on Friday and Sunday, and then see my OB on Tuesday. They won't do an ultrasound until HCG is about 5k in the absence of a threatened M/C or suspected ectopic.

    So long story boring, I'm still peeing on things and agonizing about it. Hope you are faring better!

    @azjax: wondfos are the worst. Last time I had a super dark frer at like 17dpo and the wondfo still didn't look that dark! Hope your betas give you some peace of mind! and I try to remember that without bleeding cramps are a good sign. It couldn't just be straightforward could it? Lots of
