hey all!

Posted this on WB as well but thought i would get your opinion as well..

So just had the results back from my first trimester screening and not sure what to think of them..

Went for the ultrasound where they measured the skin behind the neck and everything looked fine, however my blood results have increased my risk. So basically before the tests and solely based on my age my risk for a baby with Down's syndrome was 1/580. After the tests my re-assessed risk is now 1/280. The doc told me not to freak out, as this is not considered abnormal. she said the blood tests could of been thrown off that day by something. So she's recommended me to come in next week (when i am 15 weeks) to get another blood test. I know things will work out fine (fingers crossed) but it's still worrying! The doc also said the measurement of the babies neck is actually more of a sign than anything else and the baby looked perfect on the ultrasound. sp i suppose thats good?

We were waiting for these results to be able to start spreading the word (only immediate family knows right now), our mums are itching to tell people. but now i think we will wait another 2 weeks to get more results back..

Anyone else had worrying results?
