@Mrs. Sunglasses: I always thought I would marry Asian, but turns out some white British type dude was the one for me! (You actually couldn't find a more white guy if you tried!) We're so lucky that we still got our mixed baby!

@Mrs. Jacks: you thought you would because you love Asians?
Well the same with me, I thought I would marry a black or latino man. hahaha my DH laughs at me whenever I joke about it. He is Socttish/Irish instead

@Coco Bee: Up until Mr Jacks, I had only dated Asian or brown folks. In college people used to call me an egg... White on the outside, yellow on the inside. I think it comes from the fact that my upbringing was very much like having immigrant parents

@NYCaliMama: Thanks! We are such proud parents ^^.
@Coco Bee: Funny thing is, most ppl don't seem to think I look Filipino. My mom definitely has that quasi-hispanic look, but my Asian side shows through a bit more.
As for babies looking more Asian at birth, I think Mrs. Bee is right. My little dumpling's eyes are starting to look less Asian.

My husband is half Japanese, half British and I'm Korean, so I think our baby will just look 100% Asian and people won't really be able to tell which Asian ethnicity they are but their last name will be very British! Love the confusion.

I'm biracial - my dad is Cuban and my mom is white. My mom said when she was pregnant with me, she dreamed that they brought her this huge white baby in the hospital, and she was like, "I KNOW that's not my baby!"
DH is African-American, and I'm so excited to see what our kids look like. Most 1/2 AA kids look pretty black, and the fact that I have ethnic features (dark curly hair, olive skin) will probably emphasize that. But who knows! I love seeing little biracial or AA kids and imagining if our kids will look like that. But I sometimes think of our kids in a generic sense and imagine them white, oddly enough! Sadly, I think white is just the default race for all of us, so our brain just assumes it.
