All of these gender disappointment posts and blogs have got me thinking. Do any of you have experience with your older child being disappointed about having a baby brother or sister? My 4 year old twin boys REALLY want a little sister. Any time you talk to either of them about the baby they insist that it's a girl and wont even entertain the idea of having a baby brother. I'm worried that if we do have a boy they will be disappointed and not accept the baby. I've tried really hard to involve them with the pregnancy and they are beyond excited for the baby to come... as long as its a girl. YIKES! I'm thinking this might have something to do with them being twins and not wanting to let another brother into their "bubble".
Anyways, we were team green, but now I'm pretty sure we will be finding out at our next ultrasound so we can prepare them to be happy for the baby - boy or girl! Plus we think it will be fun to do a gender reveal "party" with just DH and the kiddos. Maybe that will help build some excitement, just in case we are blessed with a baby boy!
