Fun! We did silly string too. We had my dad give us the right color and then we sprayed our son with it and found out we were having a boy!

We did scratch off tickets that I made with a tutorial on Pinterest. It was fun because out of town family could participate over FaceTime by telling us which one to scratch!

@bushelandapeck: Well for now the 31st because my anatony scan is scheduled the 28th..hubby works that afternoon and the night shift the next 2 days...... but I'm trying to get in the 25th so we can do it on a Saturday 26th but they are booked..I call daily to see if there are cancelations....lol

We did party poppers filled with confetti (purple or blue). We stood facing our friends & family & released the confetti as a group. It was a surprise to us as well

I teach grade 2/3 and I had my students help me announce what I was having. I bought 20 cans of silly string and took them all outside. I recorded them saying " is baby xxxxx a boy or a girl" then they lined up and had a silly string fight. It was so fun to watch them! They had a blast just with the silly string but also to realize that our baby is a girl. I recorded them having the silly string party and them all yelling out " it's pink it's pink". When it was all done they all huddled together and yelled " it's a girl" which I recorded. We then went inside and they helped me make a video which I then shared with the rest of the staff and students. It was a huge hit. I posted it on our class blog so that their families could see. I loved having them participate in our special news!!
