'98 Nissan Maxima. It was my grandparents and they let me have it for pretty much nothing (paid less than half of what it was worth). Was a great car and probably would have ran forever but we found mice in it and so insurance wrote it off. I now have a '08 Ford Edge and I love it!!

I've never had a car that I didn't have to share, but the first car I ever had majority use of was a 1992 Geo. Good little car

@pui: congrats, by the way! We only have one car now, but I feel like we might need to get a second in the coming years, especially if we move out to the suburbs. In the city, it's not a huge deal, though.

'89 Toyota Corrolla. My parents bought it brand new. And drove it forever, then my brother had it for a while, then back to my parents, then it was my sisters. After a few years it became my car. I loved that car. It was a stick shift, had no a/c (which is pretty essential here), and no mirrors (they had fallen off by then...), but it was awesome and I loved it. Then I got into a car accident (not caused by me) and the car was totalled. That was a sad sad day. lol

The first car that I paid for is a Mini Cooper, current car... But after baby comes I have to switch with hubs. I'm sad about it.
