I stopped my Endometrin yesterday and I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow. Until just now I'd only had nausea with this pregnancy. I just got violently sick 4 times in a row. My face looks like a red splotchy mess. Yuck. Did anyone else START getting sick after stopping progesterone supplements?

My nausea hit early but didn't last long. I thought I was in the clear by 6w. I felt great! And at 8w POW, oh it was just awful.. -
Mine definitely got worse when I stopped endometrin at 10w. Still sick a fair amount at 13 weeks unfortunately.

I was asked to stop my cyclogest for a day for my last blood test and had terrible nausea + vomiting that day despite not having had any for a while. Totally gone the next day when I resumed them!

My sister had MS early on but it got much worse after stopping progesterone. She gets bad migraines too and she was having them daily after she stopped the progesterone. She's 22 weeks now and seems to have the MS and headaches under control (fingers crossed it stays that way!). She is pregnant with twins though, so more likely to have bad MS anyway, I think.

Oh yikes, this thread terrifies me! I've been thinking I've been so lucky to have things easy and not feel so bad... but now who knows what will happen after I stop my PIO

@twodoghouse: my MS was definitely worse with twins at the beginning last time.

I took progesterone through 11 weeks and didn't really have any change in symptoms when I stopped. But fwiw, I didn't have bad morning sickness before or after - just a bit of nausea early on.

I got sick when I started progesterone at 15 weeks. I think it takes your body some time to adjust.

@swedishfish: OMG! I don't think I knew you were pregnant!! Congrats!!!! It was through IVF, right? So happy for you! Happy 10 weeks!

@swedishfish: Kind of a sucky way to "graduate" off of progesterone, but congrats on 10 weeks!! I do remember being more nauseous later in the 1st trimester, but I never thought about it being related to stopping PIO… interesting observation! I hope it doesn't last too long for you.

@swedishfish: I did my last PIO injection just before 13 weeks and I think my horrible nausea started at 14 weeks. Are you sure it's not something you want to call your OB about, to make sure you aren't actually sick? I'm sorry you're feeling so awful and hope it doesn't last long!

@bluestriped bee: thanks! It was a FET cycle from my original IVF cycle.
@spaniellove: it hasn't happened again. I was really nauseated this morning but haven't gotten sick yet today. If I continue to get as sick as I did last night I might call and see if they'll give me a Zofran prescription. They wouldn't give me one with R because I wasn't "sick enough."
My face looks so bad. I had so many capillaries burst last night. I was so sick with R and yet I didn't look this terrible.
