Anyone know what the "limit" is after the one hour test? I told someone what my test results were and they were like "oh you cut it close" but the nurse I spoke with said I was way under and in the clear? Does it vary?

I dont remember the number, but Id go by what the nurse says. Keep in mind, if the number is like 140 (Im just pulling that out of thin air as I remember it being somewhere around there) and you were at 137, it does sound super close, but the nurse could know that 137 is actually way under,

oh also, I think the number varies depending on if its a fasting test or not.

@LivsMama: I was thinking 140 sounded right, I was at 131 so further under I thought!

I was told I had to be under 129 to pass (the 1-hour) and scored a 95. They never called to give me results, I called them to ask, and they told me the numbers. My test was non-fasting, but I had fasted anyway.

@jessiejo17: yeah, if the nurse says dont worry, I wouldnt worry. You can alway double check with your OB to be safe

I believe it is normally 140, but some DRs are more conservative and would like to see you be under 130 for the 1 hour test.

It's probably acceptable to have anything under 140. I'm diabetic (not just gestational) and they want my 1 hour after meal blood sugars to be under 140. I imagine it would be a similar standard for glucose tests.
