I went in for a re-check on my endometriosis, since I've been having some pelvic pain lately. The doctor did a pelvic exam and couldn't find anything abnormal, so I'm having a pelvic ultrasound tomorrow to rule out cysts.

In the meantime, I asked him what our odds of being able to conceive look like, compared to last year (when I had my lap. done). He said that my fallopian tubes seem to be totally clear--had some problems with tissue growth there in the past, so I was concerned--and that as long as I'm able to ovulate and have regular cycles when off the Pill, he doesn't see any reason why I wouldn't be able to get pregnant! Far cry from last year, when I was feeling pretty bummed out and like it wasn't even worth it to try, since the pain returned only a few months after the surgery.

OB/GYN would like me to try a round of Lupron and see if it improves my symptoms--plus, he thinks it'll let the tissue "burn itself out," so I wouldn't have to have another surgery. Depending on what the ultrasound reveals, I'm pretty sure I'll just stick to BCP for now, though, since Lupron has some nasty side effects.

I talked to DH, and we're planning to start TTC within the next couple of years (we're looking at inexpensive houses now, since we want to own a home before adding kids to the mix).

I'm still a bit worried that being hypothyroid, even though I've been on medication for a couple of years now, could potentially screw things up, but I'm trying to stay positive and not stress out. Before we even start trying, I'm definitely going to chat with an endocrinologist and get things figured out in terms of testing routines and medication, so I'm hoping there won't be any issues with that. It looks like our original plan to have one child, then adopt one could still happen. Just wanted to share the good news.
