We're not there yet, but I would ask the same question as PP, has he always been little? If so, I wouldn't worry. If this is new, I'd mention my concerns to the ped.

As long as he's about on the curve I wouldn't worry. We have the opposite problem, DS is on the high end of the percentiles, but he's on the curve.

LO has always been on the lower end, around the 14th percentile. I wouldn't worry as long as he is still on the curve and is meeting milestones.

Two of my friend have very petite babies. They are healthy, just tiny. As long as he's on his curve, I wouldn't worry.

So it sounds like he's stayed in the same percentile range. Was your doctor concerned?

My LO started in the first percentile, moved to the third, stayed at the 5th for awhile, dropped down to the 2nd then made her way back to the 5th and just in the last couple weeks hit the 8th for weight, she's super easy and happy. She's 10 weeks old and our pediatrician hasn't expressed concern at all....I think it's only a concern if they see a dramatic drop in the percentile.
